To the Learner Hi! In the previous module you have alredy learned about synonyms. They are words with similar meanings. In this module you will learn about antonyms. Are you ready? Let s Learn This This module will help you learn about antonyms words with opposite meanings. Let s Try This Read carefully the following passage and observe how the antonyms are used. It was the best of times, it was the worst of time, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of light; it was the season of darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. We had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct to the other way. 70
