Instruction Manual Reizen Atomic Radio-Controlled USB-Charge Analog Talking Watch (USA-Euro Multi-Band) #704066 Your Atomic USB-Charge Analog Talking Watch is a multi-band, radio-controlled watch. It is able to pick up a time-setting signal from the USA (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), UK, GERMANY, and JAPAN (60 KHz only). Wherever there is no accessible atomic signal, the time is easily set manually. Your watch is time-synchronized to the Atomic Clock (which measures each second of time as 9,192,631,770 vibrations of a cesium 133 atom in a vacuum) and gives time, which is accurate to 1 second every million years. Your radio-controlled watch even accounts automatically for daylight saving time (when applicable). Automatic Time Setting Your talking radio-controlled watch receives a user-selected Atomic Clock signal automatically at 3:00 AM every night. After reception of signal it will show the official local time on the watch. Everything is done automatically. However, your watch can also be set manually. Button Functions: S1 Press S1 (2 o clock button) to announce Hour and Minute Press S1 two (2) times to announce the Date Press S1 three (3) times to announce reception status NOTE: If time signal reception was successful, the watch will say [Country Name] followed by Time Updated. If signal reception failed, the watch will say [Country Name] followed by Time Not Updated.

S2 Push S2 (4 o clock button) one (1) time to check alarm time setting and to determine if the alarm is set to ON or OFF (the watch says the alarm time followed by either Alarm is ON or Alarm is OFF ) Crown Use to reset all hands to 12:00:00 position NOTE: When the crown is pulled out, the watch stops immediately. Battery Power Level Check 1. Press S2 two (2) times to show the battery power level. NOTE: Battery Power Level is indicated by second hand position: High = Second hand points to 8 o clock Medium = Second hand points to 7 o clock Low = Second hand points to 6 o clock Low Battery Alert When Battery Power Level is low, the watch generates a beep-beep sound before it announces the time, calendar, reception status, or alarm. Please recharge the watch when you hear the beep-beep sound. How To Charge Watch When Battery Power Level is low, the seconds hand runs 2 steps every 2 seconds. When this is the case, all button operations and signal reception will not function. If the watch is not charged in time, the hands stop at 12 o clock to conserve the remaining battery power. The watch should be charged as soon as possible. The charging input socket of the watch is on the back of the watch. Connect the provided USB charging cable to a computer USB port or USB AC Adapter (not included) and the other end into the watch. The watch makes a chirping sound when the plug is correctly inserted and charging begins. Correct Watch Positions For Time Signal Radio Reception Your watch should be positioned as follows and put near a window during signal reception or you will not be able to get the best reception result. As shown below, for metal case watches with a metal band, the watch band should not make contact with the back of the watch case (insert a non-metal object to serve as a

spacer between the case back and the metal band) otherwise the metal band will interfere with time signal reception. Country Signal Selection You can set your watch to get USA (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), UK, Germany, or Japan (60 KHz) signal. After you change to a new country, the watch will run according to the new time zone. Please wait when the second hand is fast running until it resumes its normal running speed. Select USA, UK, Germany, or Japan (60 KHz only) signal: NOTE: USA users need to set the watch to one of the USA Time Zones as listed below. 1. Hold S2 (4 o clock button) while the watch is running in normal time mode for more than 5 seconds until the watch says Set alarm, press 2 o clock button (S1) to set. 2. Push S2 (4 o clock button) another three (3) times until the watch says Global signal selection, only when you visit this country. Press 2 o clock button (S1) to set. 3. Press S2 (4 o clock button) to confirm after a new country has been selected.

During Summer Time or Daylight Saving Time there will be a one hour difference after you have set the watch to a new country. This will be corrected after the local time signal reception has been updated. 8. The watch will synchronize with the local atomic clock automatically at midnight starting from 3:00 AM so you have to make sure that the right country has been set or the watch will not be able to locate the local radio time setting signal. Manual Signal Reception The watch must be set to the correct country before using manual signal reception. Refer to the Country Signal Selection section for details. Place the watch on a table near a window to obtain manual signal reception. Please pay attention to the position of the watch. While the watch is running normally, press and hold without releasing S1 (2 o'clock button). 2. Press and hold S2 at the same time (holding down 2 buttons now) until the second hand is fast spinning. 3. Release all buttons. The watch will spin to 1:00:00 and then sleep there. To Wake Up Watch Press any button for 2 seconds. After the watch is woken up, it will spin to match the internal time. Wait until the watch resumes normal running. TROUBLESHOOTING: Your watch is a delicate and precise instrument. Although uncommon, sometimes hard knocks or vibrations can cause the hands to move irregularly and display the incorrect time, even though the internal clock is keeping accurate time. You may notice this when the time announcement does not match the position of the watch hands. To correct this situation, you will need to reset the watch hands using the following procedures.

Reset Watch Hands 1. Wait until the second hand ticks to the 12 o clock position and pull out the crown immediately so that the second hand stops at 12. 2. Turn the crown to set Hour and Minute hands to 12 o clock. 3. After all hands are set to 12:00:00, hold S1 (2 o'clock button) for 5 seconds and then, 4. Push in the crown. 5. The watch hands spin to match the internal time and resume normal running when the time matching is finished. After the watch resumes normal running, the watch hands will match the internal time-keeping of the watch. Reset Watch To Atomic Radio Signal You can reset the watch as follows: 1. While the watch is running, pull out the crown to stop the second hand at the 12 o clock position. 2. Turn the crown to set Hour and Minute hands to 12 o clock. Now all hands are set to 12:00:00. 3. Do not push in the crown but press and hold S1 (2 o'clock button) for 15 seconds and then; 4. Push in the crown. Your watch will not run after the crown is pushed in. NOTE: Place your watch near a window to get a time setting signal. The watch will start to update. It will continue updating the signal over the next 24 hours if the first time setting signal reception is not successful. The hands will move to the correct time after receiving a valid time signal. Watch Not Receiving Time Signal Reasons for not being able to receive the Time Signal include: -Being outside of the USA, UK, Germany or Japan (60 KHz) radio signal area -Being in an area with building construction -Metal objects or structures blocking the radio signal -Interference by computer monitor or TV NOTE: Ensure that the watch is left by a window, as this gives the best reception. You may have to try different windows in the house to see which works best. You can test this using the reception status test described earlier. Please note that reception is always better at night. If your watch is unable to make contact with the radio signal, it will continue to function in the same way as a standard watch. The time will then be corrected the next time your watch receives the radio time setting signal. Replacing the battery The built-in rechargeable battery is not user-replaceable. In the event it appears necessary to replace the battery, please contact Reizen for service. See "Manufacturer's Limited Warranty" section.

After Battery Replacement 1. After battery replacement, the second hand starts to run when the crown is pushed in. 2. Wait until the second hand is at the 12 o clock position and pull out the middle crown immediately so that the second hand stops there. 3. Turn the crown to set Hour and Minute hands to 12 o clock. Now all hands are set to 12:00:00. 4. Push in the crown. Your watch will not run after the crown is pushed in. 5. Place your watch near a window to get a time setting signal. The watch will start to update. It will continue updating the signal over the next 24 hours if the first time setting signal reception is not successful. The hands will move to the correct time after receiving a valid time signal. 6. After the watch is able to set the time automatically, you need to set the Time Zone according to the following instructions: If you are a USA user, set USA Time Zone. Go to Country Signal Selection" section and see USA Time Zones for details. If you are a Japan, UK, or Germany user and provided that your watch is bought locally, you do not need to set time zone on your watch as it has been set to your local time zone before leaving the factory. NOTE: If the watch does not show the right time after battery replacement, please reset your watch according to the Reset Watch sections. ADDITIONAL NOTES: 1. Whenever the crown is pulled out, the watch hands stop while the internal clock still runs. After you push in the crown, the watch will fast spin to match the internal time automatically. 2. When the watch is fast spinning, do not pull out the crown. If the crown is pulled out while the watch is fast spinning, the second hand will stop. After you push in the crown, the watch will resume spinning to match the internal time.
