Connect the automaton computer (Item n Fgure, page 4) to COM, the center DB-9 connector on the CPU termnator card, usng a null-modem cable (Item ). 9. If nstallng a D667 COM Expanson kt (Item ) n the recever (Item ), connect a second optonal D6686/D668/D6680 (Item 6) to COM of the D667 (Item ). Order and nstall the D667 separately. Refer to the D667 Installaton Gude (P/N: 499875) for detals. COM s the DB-9 connector to the left of the CPU termnator card lookng at the rear of the unt. Use the provded modem cable (Item 4) to connect to Channel on the network adapter (Item 6). 5. Usng a CA5 Ethernet cable (Item 7); connect the other end of the second network adapter (Item 6) to the network hub (Item 9). 6. Connect a PC (Item ) wth an Ethernet card to the network usng a CA5 Ethernet cable (Item 0). hs PC connects to the network for D600 software applcatons and for confgurng the network adapters. 7.
