Soldered Connectors This Picture Provides reference for appropriate placement of soldered connectors.
Step 1 Take off the protective film from the plexiglass, and using the five provided Silver M4 Aluminum Bolts, screw down in an X pattern (1 5 4 3 2) being careful to not overly tighten and crack the plexiglass.
Step 2 Install the Neutrik Quick-Disconnect USB Passthrough, and six 24mm Buttons in the front of the Panzer case. It may require small force to install the Neutrik. After inserting the 4-40 Flat Head Screws, insert the Star Washer first, then tighten the applicable 4-40 nut.
Step 3 Attach the LS/DP/RS harness to the 3-way rocker switch (ON-OFF-ON). Attach the Lock Button Harness to the 2-way rocket switch (ON-OFF).
Step 4 Insert the previously prepared rocker switches into the mounting holes, being careful to pay attention to the tabs pressed out of the case, and the orientation of the switches when inserting.
Step 5 Screw in the EZ Build Board, again, alternating in a cross pattern, tightening in the sequence 1 4 2 3. Be careful to not overly tighten the screws, and crack the PCB.
Step 6 Plug the L3/TP/R3 harness into the right cluster of buttons, and the HOME/SELECT/START harness into the left cluster of buttons. Appropriate plugin points are marked on the EZ Build Board. Pay attention to the lengths of the wire on the L3/TP/R3 harness, enlarged to show the correct sequence.
Step 7 Plug in the previously prepared and mounted rocker switches to the EZ Build Board, appropriate plug-in points are marked. (You can t mess this one up. It won t reach otherwise!)
Step 8 Prepare your buttons, by attaching the 8 provided 30mm Button Harness. This is much easier to do before inserting buttons into the case.
Step 9 Before inserting buttons, it would be wise to route the Right Angle USB cable from the Neutrik, underneath the EZ Build Board. The ends are too big to squeeze between the posts and buttons afterwards. Attach all buttons to the appropriate plug-in points.
Step 9a When this switch is in the KGND position the LS/DP/RS rocker is disabled when the Front Panel connectors are switched OFF. When in the GND position, it will be active and the lever can switch to LS/RS mode at any time.
Step 10 Lay the Joystick Spacer on top of the 4 risers protruding from the case, and screw in your joystick to the case. It s advised to place the lock washer, and then flat washer on the bolt (in that order) before mounting. Plug-in point to the EZ Build Board is marked. Yours will not look like spaghetti like mine. (I m using a harness adapter) : )
Step 11 Finally, screw in the Brook Universal Fighting Board, and plug-in to the EZ Build Board using the provided 20-Pin IDC Cable, 4-Pin 4-Pin Cable, and L3/TP/R3 jumper cable. These can all only plug in one possible way, so it s fairly straightforward.
Step 12 When screwing the case back together now, make sure to take notice you have the notched side (circled) facing towards the front-facing buttons and quick disconnect. This allows clearance for the Neutrik s mounting bolts.
