Chandler-Gilbert Community College Performing Arts Department Presents Actors / Singers / Dancers Needed Arnette Scott Ward Performing Arts Center 2626 East Pecos Road, Chandler 85225 AUDITIONS: Wednesday, May 12, 2010, 6:30 pm CALL BACKS: Thursday, May 13, 6:30 pm Performances: Thursday, June 17 th at 7:30 pm, Friday, June 18 th at 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 19 th at 2:00 pm & 7:30 pm, Monday, June 21 nd at 7:30 pm, and Tuesday, June 22 at 7:30 pm Rehearsals: Monday - Thursday, 6:00-10:00 pm, starting May 17 All cast members must attend the mandatory first rehearsal (and company meeting) on Monday, May 17. All performers are required to attend extended tech rehearsals Monday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 16, 6:00 pm -?
Additional Info: Enrollment forms with class/section numbers will be given out after the show is cast. No one is allowed to begin rehearsals unless he/she is properly enrolled. Fees for the class will be $142, plus a $15 registration fee. Financial aid may be available. Those not registered prior to the first rehearsal will be dropped from the show and that part will be re-cast. Students are required to complete 10 hours of work in the Costume and/or Scene Shops. There will be mandatory workdays scheduled. (TBD) For the AUDITION: 1. Complete the attached Audition Information Form before the audition and bring it with you, as well as a recent headshot (snapshot is ok) and a current resume. 2. Prepared one up-tempo/character piece (90 seconds) and one ballad (60 seconds). The song(s) performed must not be from Joseph. 3. Be sure to bring your sheet music with you. An accompanist will be provided. The CALLBACK LIST will be posted by 11:00 pm, Wednesday, May 12 th Outside PAC100 and at www.cgc.edu/arts under What s New For the CALLBACK: 1. Come dressed for movement (dance). 2. Be prepared to sing assigned selections from the show (included in this packet). The CAST LIST will be posted by Friday, May 14, 2010 Outside PAC100 and at www.cgc.edu/arts under What s New. A credit card number or a $25 cash deposit for scripts will be required. Scripts must be picked up by Friday, May 14, 2010. The script must be returned in good condition (all pencil marks erased) by the end of tech week or the deposit will be kept or the charge card will be charged $25. Each cast member is required to engage in 10 HOURS of production work in either the Costume Shop or the Scene Shop. You are also required to provide one USHER for one of the performances.
