The site of a seminal Revolutionary War battle, today s Ridgefield is a quintessential New England village steeped in history and on the edge of the arts. Each spring, RIFF brings dozens of films from around the globe to town for thoughtful screenings in curated venues including the Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield Library, Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Keeler Tavern Museum and the Prospector Theater. FACT SHEET The 2nd annual Ridgefield Independent Film Festival will feature 55 screenings, master classes, panel discussions, parties and filmmaker events in world-class venues such as The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, The Prospector Theater, and the Ridgefield Playhouse. Attendees will be able to comfortably walk between venues and enjoy the picturesque village during the first bloom of Spring. Location Ridgefield is located on the western edge of Fairfield County, Connecticut, along Westchester County, New York consistently named two of the most affluent areas in America. We are home to a well-educated, professional, family-focused and community-minded people. Our quintessential New England town has recently been listed among America s Best Main Streets in Parade Magazine, the top five Safest Towns in America by SafeWise, and said to be replete with sophisticated arts and cultural offerings by The New York Times. The median income for a family in Ridgefield, as of 2012, was $148,104 and the median age was 43.
