Let the Ford Avenue Piquette Plant provide your event with a timeless backdrop an urban industrial setting steeped in the past where guests can walk the same floors a young Henry Ford walked, sit in the driver s seat of a Model T, and mingle where an invention that would forever change the world was born. The Ford Avenue Piquette Plant was built in 1904 by the fledgling Ford Motor Company. It was here that Henry Ford would produce several car models- including his most famous automobile- the Model T. Once outside the plant s walls, the Model T started a revolution that would put the world on wheels. When demand for the Model T exceeded the plant s capabilities, Ford moved production over to the Highland Park Plant. The Piquette Avenue Plant was bought by Studebaker and then later used as a warehouse until it fell into almost total disuse in the 1990s- gradually becoming just another industrial building succumbing to the elements. In 2000, the Plant was saved through the work of members of the Henry Ford Heritage Association. It is now a National Historic Landmark that operates as a museum and learning center.
Facility Highlights Capacity Milwaukee Junction Room 2B: 100 seated. Stationary Assembly Room 3B: 250 seated. Strolling Events: 300 Handicap Accessible: Yes Onsite Ceremonies: Yes Valet Parking: Available Event Parking & Security Free, secure parking is available for guests and vendors within a gated interior courtyard. If desired, valet services are available. Security services are provided for any large event. Audio & Visual Equipment A sound system, wireless microphones, podiums, and a pull down 10 Ft. screens are available. The quality of the sound system is suitable for meetings only. Tables & Chairs Round 60 tables with space for 8 table settings are available as are an assortment of rectangular tables for catering. Our chairs have padded cloth seats and backs. If you have some other vision in mind or if you are in need of additional seating, we can accommodate rented tables and chairs from our preferred vendors. Decorating Set up is available the day before and the day of the event from 10am- 4pm. The plant is a National Historic Landmark and museum, so decorations cannot harm the building or prevent the public from viewing our exhibits. Heating and Cooling The building does not have central heat or air conditioning. Portable heaters and air conditioners are available from our preferred vendors.
