2 Sams Desk March overview: Walking Challenge Feb. 01-Aug 31, 2017 I have to say I am so impressed with the response to our Walking Challenge. There is nothing that makes us coordinators happier than when the residents get involved. Everything we do, we do it for you. Way to go, we are already past Lloyd Minster, and that was before the end of February. Piano Recitals, 2 in March: You were all so welcoming when Michelle Saulnier had her Piano Recital here last time, that she called to see if she could do it again. There are too many students and parents for one night, so we split it into two recitals March 14 th and March 17 th at 6:30 both nights. I hope you enjoy the piano playing and make the students and their families as Welcome as the last time they were here. Thank you for being kind to our visitors. Vanier Jan, Feb, Mar: As many of you are aware, the Vanier Students have been coming this year on Tuesdays or Thursdays to play card bingo with the residents. This will be the last month for this year. Please let me know if you enjoyed having them, and we will invite them back for Jan, Feb, Mar in 2018. Evansburg, Winter Olympics: We are heading to Evansburg to take them on in 3 Olympic Events. The reason Vicki and I planned this, is because they enjoyed our visit so much last time we were there, especially the Kerplunk Game. The 3 Events are: 1) Snowball Toss 2) Javelin Toss and 3) Target Shooting there will be food and fun to be had by all. I hope Parkland will sign up for this fun time at the Evansburg Lodge. I think we have a good chance to do very well. Please sign up, I will put the sign-up sheet March 1 st. Tanis is driving the bus for anyone that is curious. We will be having Submarine Sandwiches for lunch, and cookies and the usual beverages. Please let myself or Amanda know if you have any ideas for any activities we may have overlooked in the past. Thanks, Sam NEWS FROM Page 2

Accordingly, the flower associated with this month is Daffodil also known as Jonquil or Narcissus. The colours of the bloom include white, yellow and orange.
5 Blurb from Amanda When March approached I found myself wondering why we celebrate St. Patricks Day and I googled the answer and this is what we got: St Patrick's Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. I tried to arrange a trip to the Peers Multi Plex for the Potluck again but it just didn't work out that we could have a bus driver. Which was sad but we can try again! I hope you guys are ready to go to Hinton, and if you have any Ideas on places to stop for lunch or any new stops you would like to make in Hinton please let me know. We are always open to new ideas!
