Coferece The coferece key is used for settig up three-party coferece calls. Flash/Cacel The fuctio of this key is programmable as a calibrated hookswitch flash or cacel, but ot both. Flash provides a calibrated hookswitch flash for PABX ad Cetrex applicatios, or to your telephoe exchage to access custom callig features. Cacel used to cacel exteral calls ad retur dial toe without hagig up the hadset. Hold Outside calls are put o hold, or exclusive hold by pressig -the hold key. Speed The speed key is used durig the programmig ad dialig of private ad commo speed call umbers. Speaker Used to tur the Set speaker o ad off ad to termiate a hadsfree call. Microphoe Used to tur the microphoe o ad off. Riger Volume Cotrol Situated o the upper left side of the Set, cotrols the volume of the toe riger. Speaker Volume Cotrol Situated o the left side of the Set, cotrols the volume of the soud at the speaker. Now that you have selected your System features it is time to actually eter the iformatio ito the KSU memory. Remember, certai features, the oes i gree type, have bee preselected to make your system compatible with most North America telephoe etworks. This meas that it may oly be ecessary to chage certai features to meet your persoal requiremets. STEP 1) Programmig the Factory Preset Features I Go to the Key Service Uit (KSU) - the STATUS lamp should be flashig. I I Set the BATTERY switch to ON (usig the tip of a pe). Set PROGRAM switches 1 ad 2 to ON. (Switch umber 3 is ot used) I Press the RESET butto - the STATUC lamp will tur OFF. You haveowprogrammed your System with the factory preset features; you may proceed to step 2 ad program features to meet your eeds or proceed to step 3 ad put the system ito operatio. STEP 2) Programmig Features Each feature is represeted by a three-digit umber kow as a Access Code. This access code is listed beside the ame of the feature. Whe the access code is dialed at statio 10 you will be able to program the feature to meet your eeds by turig the idicator lamps either O or as specified. (There is a slight delay from the time a key is pressed util the idicator lamp chages). Access codes ca be dialed i ay order. Set PROGRAM switch 2 to ON. Esure PROGRAM switch 1 is i the OFF positio. Press the RESET butto. At Statio IO, press the Jc key - the iteral idicator lamp will tur ON idicatig the system is ready to be programmed. Use the System Programmig Chart to determie the access code ad the correct idicator lamp combiatio; Lie Idicator lamps are tured ON ad OFF by pressig the correspodig lie key; the Mic Idicator lamp is tured O ad by pressig the hold key. Whe fiished with the System Programmig Chart, press the # key: all idicator lamps will tur OFF. Note: If a power failure occurs durig programmig, repeat all of step 2. STEP 3) Puttig the System ito Operatio At the KSU, set PROGRAM switch 1 ad 2 to OFF. Press the RESET butto - the STATUS lamp will begi to flash after a few secods idicatig system operatio. Your TalkTo System is ow ready to use. See the sectio etitled Operatig Istructios for speed call programmig ad operatig istructios.
