hot tails of red stick by Brad Benedict E-mail: bradhottails@hotmail.com Jukebox Bears S aturday night was lively at George s and all because some dropouts from the local bear club sought to entertain themselves and others in their own fashionable and very original way. The JukeBox Clique got their name because they always stood around the jukebox too much and really having a great time in the process. Well, this past weekend, the Clique bears did it up right with a fantastic Halloween blowout. The costumes on display were outstanding, and the guys proved that they know how to have fun. The theme of the outing was Carnevil: The Dark Circus, another of the excellent theme-related gatherings from the brilliant mind of one Hanley, the sexiest bear in all of Beardom. These are not just my descriptive notes on this young man, but it seems that everyone has this opinion. It s quite apparent once you meet him. I can t recall the first time I met him, but I think it was at the old Blue Parrot when he was playing pool and showing his winning form way back then. Lots of great things happened at this bar in the past, and I have many pictures from that period. In fact, back in the days prior to all the digital camera entries, I would take roll after roll of film just to make sure I got some good ones in the bunch. Now, you can take one, check it out and move on. I have a complete file drawer full of unused pictures dating back a dozen years. I could almost compile a picture book on Red Stick s gay past. Well, Hanley moved on from those early years - and up in a most talented way. Carnevil and his costume just emphasized his expertise in a very creative way. Lots of others donned costumes for this great evening of entertainment, but I m not the only one that considered the evil clown as the best of all the rest. It was an original from the beginning, and it made Stephen King s It look a little on the lukewarm side and that was one scary movie. If you missed this big party, you definitely missed one of the best ever Halloween gatherings in historic old Red Stick. Keep you eye on the JukeBox Clique. They are simply a nice and appealing bunch of sexy bears. Din-Din Buddies M onday night dinners with Trace are getting few and far between. Let s see. This past week, a call came in from Sydney that our world traveler was about to go surfing down in the land of Oz. This sexy and dynamic stud just hauls rear at an instant urge, and away he goes. Let me see if I can recall the road trips he has made in 2006 - Spain, Hawaii, New York City, Costa Rica, Australia, Las Vegas, Chicago. I m sure I ve left some out. Maybe San Francisco should be included. I know he was planning on visiting with the Dillon boy, but I think that trip got postponed for a time. I guess I ll just wait for the next call from Trace. I m sure he will stop off in Hawaii again to see his buddy there, and I wouldn t be surprised if he stayed over in San Francisco too. Whatever he does, Trace has a great time, but that s very characteristic of this young man. He is fun-loving, energetic, charismatic, and definitely one of the handsomest studs on the planet with a gorgeous body to go with it. His friendship is endearing and welcomed. I don t know of too many who can fill his shoes in this department. I guess Gerry could be one of those with shoe-filling qualities. He just got back from a business trip to Galveston, and he just keeps moving up in the world. His job keeps him busy but still allows him time to treat a friend to a wonderful dinner at Fleming s. This is Gerry s favorite restaurant, and he is a favorite customer with all the staff there. They practically roll out the red carpet when he walks in the door. That s what happens when you support good people who serve great food and excellent wine. Trust me. This is one of the best you will find anywhere in the south - both the restaurant and the considerate and honorable Gerry stud. His main claim to fame (in addition to being such a fine human being) is in his knowledge of the best wines. He is just one of the best wine connoisseurs around but his brilliance also goes well into the deep, dark environs of the computer field. His brain just fixes on a subject in this area, and he solves it immediately - well, most of the time. He is a nice one to have around when you need advice on buying or fixing said merchandise, and his company whether over dinner or in a private setting is just simply the very best. This same computer talent also could be used to describe John Wayne, known as Little John to many. I haven t seen too many things he couldn t handle -in the computer area, that is. He is a great one to get to know, and he is, like Gerry, prime beef when it comes to the attachment market.
