Provide documentation and knowledgebase to client I: INSTALLATION A-Vendor Requirements: The vendor must provide a technician or project manager with a current Cisco Certified Network Professional certification (CCNP) and must provide documentation of such when submitting the bid. B-Overview: The vendor is to upgrade six (6) lecture-capture classrooms from its current lecture capture solution by installing/integrating new components into the already existing Cisco backbone. The new classrooms must integrate with Cisco Capture, Transform, and Share model along with Vyopta s VPublisher, utilizing Vyopta s VControl and VRecord solutions. The upgraded lecture-capture rooms must allow for classes and sessions to be captured and posted for authorized registrants and students, as to allow viewing on demand. Lecture Capture Upgrade 2
C-Installation of upgrades: 1-The following rooms are to be upgraded with the Cisco lecture-capture solution: Tec-102, Tec-104, Tec-107, C-324, W-323, & W-116. The projector, screen, speakers, and control system are to remain intact. The user should be able to operate the room as prior to the upgrade, with only exception being the Cisco software and codec. 2-Install and configure the Cisco C20 codec, integrating it with the backbone system. This replaces the old appliance, to be surrendered to Bergen at project completion. 3-Install the new HD video camera on a ceiling mount, replacing the old camera (at its current position). The video camera shall be mounted according to the manufacturers recommended specifications. The vendor is to surrender the old camera to Bergen. 4-The system is to be configured as per the attached diagram. As the diagram indicates, the existing media system must remain intact. The vendor is to configure the new installation with the codec. As per the diagram, the VGA splitter is to be connected to the C20 codec. 5-The microphone shall be installed as to allow the user to move 10 feet in any direction. 6-The vendor is to work with Bergen s IT department to place a shortcut on the PC s desktop for the user to access the system. 7-Any local controls for this system must be installed at ADA compliant height. 8-All wiring must be neatly concealed. 9-The vendor is to provide all documentation and training. II: VENDOR REPSONSIBILITIES A-Integration: The installations must seamlessly integrate into the facility; at project s completion, the installed components must appear as if they were part of the original design and construction of the facility. The vendor is to provide any additional wires, cables, adapters, low-voltage controllers, transformers, video cards, and miscellaneous equipment and materials that may be necessary to complete the installation but not listed in the specification. Bergen s assigned project manager prior to the installation must approve the addition of any materials. Bergen Community College will provide power to all installation locations. C-Safety & Cleanliness: 1-The area is to be left clean of construction-related debris and dust at the end of each construction day. The vendor is responsible for the disposal of all debris, trash, dust, containers, etc. 2-Construction materials/equipment/tools left in the classroom must be put aside and out of the way of student/teacher traverse. No materials/equipment/tools are to be left in any walkway/doorway. 3-Construction/installation dust is an environmental hazard and must be cleaned from the area immediately after construction activity. 4-If necessary, the vendor is responsible for the dismounting of any existing projection screen in any rooms under construction. The screen must be surrendered to the Bergen immediately after being dismantled. 5-The vendor is responsible for repairing any holes, cracks, or damage related to the installation of components or removal of existing components. The vendor is responsible for repainting of any areas left marked or repaired due to the installation or removal of existing components. 6-The vendor is responsible for the replacement of any damaged ceiling tiles as a result of this construction. 7-The vendor is responsible for ascertaining the need of any relocation/rewiring of any lighting fixture necessary for this installation, and is responsible to inform the college of such need in a timely manner prior to the installation. Bergen Community College is responsible for the relocation and any electrical costs related to the specification. 8-No component/tool/ladder/device/cables can be left in an area that could be dangerous to, or block the traverse of students/faculty/staff. 9-Bergen Community College is not responsible for the theft or vandalism of any components/tools/cables/devices left behind in a classroom during the construction process. D-ADA Compliance: The installation must allow for wheelchair access in and out of the facility. Any wallmounted controllers must be ADA compliant. E-Time Management: 1-No substitutions of equipment/components are permissible once the bid is awarded without permission from Bergen or the assigned project manager. 2-The vendor must contact Public Safety for the daily access of the facility. 3-The vendor is to meet with the assigned project manger prior to construction, and is to meet regularly during for the duration of the installation. 4-The vendor must complete the project to the satisfaction of the assigned project manager and do so by the agreed upon date. F-Completion of Project: The upgrades must be implemented, and demonstrated fully functional to the satisfaction of the Office of Information Technology and the Office of Media Technologies.
