It was held at the SoCal Pianos recital hall in San Marcos. The Piano Auditions and the Ensemble auditions were held on the same day, in the same location. In between those two state events, there were 22 duets with two recitals. The Duet Festival was held to encourage students, and to prepare them so they will have the confidence to participate in future CAPMT state auditions. Six parents or grandparents played along with several siblings from two studios. What a fun festival it was! As an evaluator, John Marcin was encouraging and gave many suggestions to improve the duets. We hope that next year we will have more studios be a part of this fun, non-competitive event with their families and friends.
