November 1-November 6, 2015! November 7, 13-14, 20-21, 2015 @ 8pm November 12, 19, 2015 @ 7:30pm November 8, 15, 22, 2015 @ 2:30pm Refundable script deposit and personal items such as makeup, dance shoes and undergarments This production will frame the story of Eva in an Argentine prison and will be performed with a small cast (12-15). This production will not be conventional in its approach to storytelling. All actors in the play except the actor playing Che will portray prisoners who are telling the story of Peron's rise to power with his incomparable wife. While there will be one primary actor assigned to the roles of Eva and Juan, respectively, the rehearsal process may highlight moments where other members of the company can step in to assist with the depiction of those characters--this may be done with any combination of singing, acting, or dancing. As long as the movement and vocal demands of the piece are met, there are no age, race, or size requirements for any role; all that is required is talent and a willingness to risk, experiment, and work collaboratively to create a vibrant theatrical piece of storytelling. This should result in an extraordinary opportunity for those who are part of the ensemble as well as the "leads." Role Eva Duarte Peron Vocal/Age Description range She is a beautiful, ambitious and power-seeking woman, who rises to become the spiritual Belt w/ 2+ leader of Argentina by the age of 26. She is also a woman of few options, who uses her octave range sexuality to build power. The actor playing this role must be a trained vocalist with strong (E3 to G5)/ 20svocal stamina and excellent control. Must be a passionate and strong actor. Must dance. 40s Juan Peron Che An officer in the Argentinean army who rises to become the Argentine President. He is a man who is dignified, charming, and authoritative. A strong actor and singer who can play character/leading man. Some dance, perhaps more than traditionally seen out of this character. This character is dashing, impulsive, jealous, and manipulative. Che is a political activist and the narrator of the show, a radical who isn t reluctant to ask tough questions and demand answers. An actor/singer that must move very well with a high, rock tenor voice. Must dance. Baritone (Ab2 to Gb4)/40s- 60s Tenor (Ab2- C4)/ 20s-50s Ensemble (4-6m & 4-6f) Includes the role of Magaldi and Mistress. All vocal ranges needed (low basses to high Various soprano), must be versatile in vocal and acting styles. The show allows for a fully featured, versatile ensemble that helps define this world. Dance is a plus. Otherwise must be able to at least move well
