TECHNICAL AND PRODUCTION VOLUNTEERS Meet the Tech and Production Team evening Wednesday 26nd April - 6.30pm to 7.30pm 101 Outdoor Arts Centre, Communication Way, Greenham Business Park, RG19 6HN Come and discuss volunteer roles with production crew and technical and design crew and times of your availability. We will be working on the initial designs and set for the outdoor show. So if you are interested in stage management, technical build, props and costumes please do come along and meet the team. Refreshments provided. PERFORMING & SINGING Speaking, singing, non-speaking parts including a local family across 5 generations, 1930s schoolchildren and staff, USAF military 1940s to 1990s, peace women, journalists, police, WW2 evacuees, local residents in the 1980s, Asian refugees in the 1970s and choir members. MAIN AUDITION DATES Saturday 22nd April 10.00am - 4.00pm Audition for lead acting parts Sunday 7th May 10.00am 1.30pm Workshop style auditions all acting parts including lead acting parts 2.00pm 5.00pm Workshops introductory sessions for Groups eg dance, drama groups INTRODUCTORY MUSIC SESSIONS Sunday 7 th May 2.00pm-5.00pm Choirs and singers - introduction to songs Venue: St Mary s Church Hall, New Rd, Greenham, RG19 8RZ INTRODUCTORY SESSIONS FOR PERFORMERS Saturday 20th May: 10.00am to 12 Noon Performance groups and Individuals in group scenes. Workshop on show outline 1.00pm-5.00pm Lead roles - read through of script Sunday 21st May: 2.00pm- 5.00pm Singing for music groups May Half Term Currently no rehearsals/workshops scheduled unless this time suits particular groups

This might change by mutual agreement but we are presuming most people will take some time away on holiday in August. Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August Watermill Theatre Community Groups/Summer School Rehearsals (these will be held at New Greenham Arts) Tuesday 29th August to Friday 1st September Watermill Theatre Community Groups/Summer School Rehearsals (these will be held at New Greenham Arts) EVENT and LEAD IN PERIOD 1st to 9th September 2017 Friday 1/Saturday 2/Sunday 3 September Rehearsals for all to be scheduled. Please keep evening of Friday 1 st and all day/evening Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd free. Monday 4th Thursday 7th September : Rehearsals in evenings -please keep all evenings free! MAIN EVENT: Friday 8th/Saturday 9th September from 6.30pm to 10.00pm PLEASE BE AVAILABLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ON THE FRIDAY AND DEFINITELY ON THE SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
STREET ARTS AND BANNER WALKS From June Street arts workshops to be held from early June with artist Mohammed Ali, get in touch to find out more. Details will be published in next newsletter. Saturday 1 July - Silk Banner Project Walk on Greenham Common with banners with artist Ali Pretty and volunteers. Details will be published in next newsletter. Greenham: War and Peace is a unique and exciting, large-scale outdoor community event planned September 2017 at Greenham Common. The event will portray 100 years of history of the Common and the dramatic moments of war and peace that form part of that history. It marks the 20th anniversary of the Greenham Common Trust which has distributed over 35 million to local good causes since 1997.
