2 HOW DO I FIND ACADEMIC ARTICLES AND BOOKS? ANSWER: SEARCH THE LIBRARY WEBSITE The main search box on the library website allows you to quickly search for a book or an article. You can also start your research on a topic by entering keywords into the search box. Filter by peer-review status, date and type of item (article, book, film) on the left. If you get too many results, go to the Research Guide for your topic, and search in a specialized database.

3 HOW DO I KNOW WHERE TO SEARCH FOR RESEARCH IN MY COURSES? ANSWER: RESEARCH GUIDES Research guides provide links to specialized information for every subject taught at UBC. Find out where things are located on campus. Just ask at the Service Desk. 1. You can BORROW: books, laptops, DVDs, cords, adapters, calculators, magazines, cameras, and course reserves. Books are delivered from Vancouver within 4 days. Bring your student card to borrow all of these items. Renew items online. Late fees apply for all items. 2. The Library is ALMOST ALWAYS OPEN! 7am-midnight most days. Open until 2am during exams. Open hours. Access online resources 24x7 just LOGIN
