Begin with a bang, then softer and build slowly up with a climax about 2/3 through. Finish with something memorable. Organizing into chunks like logos vs. ads can work in a book IF you are a rock star at everything. Otherwise, let it flow as separate pieces. Chunking works beautifully (and logically) online. Are my tangible and digital online portfolios the same? Kinda. The flow and the amount of work you can include are different. More for your online than in a book. Written explanations are easy to include online. They seem childish in a book (which is different than our textbook states!), unless you are not there to present it. PORTFOIO CASE: utilitarian. CONSTRUCTION PORTFOIO CASE: utilitarian. CONSTRUCTION Craft and ease of use are more important than a creative case. et the contents do the performance. SIZE DO I NEED A WEBSITE? Should comfortably fit 11 x 17 printout in book. arger than this = student or traditional art Smaller than this = can t show larger work appropriately Do you need to ask????!!!??? (Yes, of course you do.) 1

2 Oversized This. You look like you just started art school. But this is OK. ooks cheap, but OK if the right size and kept impeccably clean and unbent. A bag. A bag. Especially not a colored bag. or Tangible? BOTH! (If possible) > If you are (more) print-based, a tangible is more important (with website!) > If you are (more) web-based, a digital is more important. 2
