6 Sunday, October The informal literary group Association of Contemporary Writers presents Alla Valko, Thirty-Nine Years at High-Security Facilities; Albert Tussein, Rainbow on the Roads; Elmara Faustova, Multicoloured Life; and Dmitry Nemelshteyn, Nation-Building in Ukraine and Chechnya: at the Height of Passion. Moderator: Marina Chaikina. 14:00 "Dark sky. White clouds". A feature length documentary & animated film created at the Siberian studio Aalwe with the support of SWR, Arte and the Swedish Institute. The story develops simultaneously in three places: Sweden, Siberia and a fairyland of books crested by a great Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren. In these parallel worlds a number of outstanding people who create their works for children fight for their dreams. One of them featured in the film is legendary Russian animated film director Yuri Norshtein. Daily from till 16.00: Marina Beloborodova of the Pushkin Russian Language Institute will demonstrate possibilities for studying Russian through distance learning and describe the Institute s methodologies.
