3 Schonbeinstrasse 18/ BASEL has organized an Association des Amis de la Gazette du livre medieval (address as above, postal account nr Basel), which endeavours to publish, in collaboration with noted codicologists from various countries, a biannual bulletin on the study of the medieval book in its most general sense: 'Gazette du 1 ivre medieval' 1 (Autumn 1982), 2 (Spring 1983) Both issues are available jtee of charge from the publishers: Editions CEMI B.P PARIS CEDEX 05 The contents are marked by short, highly stimulating articles on topics of general interest, written from interdisciplinary and practical points of view (so far, all in French, but other Languages are not excluded). Rubrics on Reading Notes, CoLLoquia and Seminars, BibLiography, Current Projects and Library News complete the contents of this publication which we should Like to recommend to the attention of all colleagues: it seems to us that this bulletin could become a most important instrument for both interdisciplinary and intercultural crossfertilization.
