Biographical Note Author Eva Gillhouse was born in Maricopa County, Arizona, in In 1952, her biography of Frank "Pistol Pete" Eaton, a gunfighter from the Old West, was published under the title Pistol Pete, Veteran of the Old West. The book has since been republished in paperback as The True Story of Kill or Be Killed in the Real Old West: The Recollections and Personal Photos of Gunfighter and Lawman Frank "Pistol Pete" Eaton.
