3 Introduction At Celebrations Group our Illumination division utilises leading edge products and technology to bring your projects to life. Our studies of overseas trends have shown lighting to be the major growth element in seasonal/event décor, streetscape and building enhancements. LED lighting has changed the way we view illumination. By utilising the super-brightness of LED, enhanced by flash and colour change technology, the opportunities are boundless. The energy efficiency of LED offers installations with very low running costs and environmental impact. 5 01. NEW RGB Digital Illumination RGB technology is an additive colour process were red, green and blue are added together in various combinations to produce a broad array of colours. Add digital instructions and you have a living, moving, vibrant, colour lighting display. Intelligent digital Illumination is the very latest in lighting technology using high quality RGB LED s. Lighting can be supplied in a number of configurations including as digital strip, festoon and light tubes. 5

7 02. SkyCity - Christmas Client s requirements was to add new lighting elements to the forecourt and create a Christmas spectacular. Celebration Group provided the following solution. > A programmable RGB light canopy comprising on over 3000 digitally controlled LED festoon lights capable of colour change patterns and effects. > Lightscaping the Skytower with 40,000 led fairy Lights. > Erecting a 12 metre Christmas tree fully decorated and dressed with red, green and white colour change LED fairy lights. 7

9 03. Smith & Caughey s This famous central city department store was looking for a festive lighting display with a difference, to enhance the magical experience of their Christmas window displays. The team at Celebrations installed a lighting fringe with over 11,000 LED s using a light system call Flash Tech that produces a unique diamond sparkle effect. 9

11 04. Reindeer - 3D Motif If you drive down State Hwy 2 in Mt Maunganui you will definitely know when Christmas has arrived. Bayfair Shopping Centre s illuminated reindeer is over three metres tall and sitting on top of a 10 metre signage tower, this grand sculpture can be seen for miles around. 13 05. SkyCity - Chinese New Year Chinese New Year is growing year on year. It has already become New Zealand s largest summer cultural festival says Celebrations Group s Creative Director, Susan Tapper, with major events in almost all cities across the country. The forty six giant Chinese lanterns, complete with custom lighting system, for SkyCity Auckland in the CBD s Federal Street looked spectacular. 13

New Lynn Business District The West Auckland suburb of New Lynn has gone through a multi-million dollar upgrade over the last five years with major infrastructure works on the transport hub, community facilities and street scaping. Tracy Mulholland, Business Improvement District Manager, and the Business Association Committee had a vision of bringing the area to life at night. The Light Up New Lynn project was born and Celebrations Group was commissioned to supply and install over a kilometre of commercial grade LED icicle lighting on retail and business premises throughout the area. 15

17 07. Blockhouse Bay The seaside Village of Blockhouse Bay sits on the edge of Auckland s Manukau Harbour. As tribute to the areas maritime history, a 15 metre steel sail structure Spirit of the Bay sits at the gateway to the village. This together with six smaller sail structures along the main street, are focal points of the area. Celebrations Group worked with the Business Association and Auckland Council to provide night time enhancement of the sails together with an iconic Pohutukawa tree at the village crossroads. Using around 8000 LED bright blue fairy lights the area really comes alive after sunset. 17

19 08. Indoor Decor - Spatial The move to high brightness LED s for commercial has allowed for the effective use of decorative Illumination even in brightly lit environment s. This has allowed the magic of light to be added to seasonal decor. LED lighting is available in a wide variety of style and configurations including icicle, fringe, curtain, canopy and chandelier. 19
