1 TO THE CITY OF LOS ANGELESPOLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REGARDING HPOZ DESIGNATION FOR SUNSET SQUARE We the undersigned are residents of the proposed Sunset Square HPOZ. In particular, we live on North Fairfax Avenue, the western border of the proposed HPOZ. We support the Sunset Square HPOZ as bordered by the west side of Fairfax Avenue on the west, Hollywood Boulevard on the north, Vista Avenue on the east, and Sunset Boulevard on the south. We support the inclusion of all homes on both sides of Fairfax Avenue. They are an integral part of our historic neighborhood. Excluding the west side of Fairfax Avenue, or Fairfax Avenue at all, would have significant impact on the rest of the proposed HPOZ. Including Fairfax Avenue in the HPOZ will serve as a bulwark against the development, commercialization, and increasing density that encroach dramatically on this historically park-like, single family home, residential neighborhood.
