3 Meet the Blogger Courtney Sallis Essex foodie blogger, Courtney Sallis of Snacks and Snaccidents loves finding new places to eat in and around Harlow. We had the chance to catch up with Courtney and find out how she started her career in blogging and what she will be eating this Autumn. When did you start blogging, and what s your favourite part? I started blogging at the start of 2018 and I fell in love with it. Although I started with a foodie blog, along the way I realised I have a huge passion for photography, which I ve started to get into more over the last couple of months - now my page consists of photography, food, travel and everything else that I m passionate about. My favourite part would definitely be how much more creative it s made me, I ve always had that creative side to me but now I can put it to good use. Talk us through items you always have in your fridge! I have a lot of must haves for every shopping trip but some of my favourites are: Greek yogurt, avocados, onions and raspberries - obviously not to be eaten together. I eat those four things almost every day one way or another. I m not sure I could live without avocados, I even bake with them! Tell us your favourite cuisine and why? Wow, this is a tricky question because I love all types of food, but if I had to pick just one it would have to be Indian. It s always bursting with flavour and has so many options. Everywhere in the world makes a delicious version of the food and you can easily cook some dishes at home too! What is your go-to restaurant when you re out and about? Although it s not very adventurous, I d have to say Chiquito s because you can make it unhealthy or super healthy. So even if your trying to be healthy/don t want to eat something greasy you can still eat out and enjoy a tasty meal. Are you looking forward to a certain food returning for the colder months? Soup, with some bread for dunking of course, or shepherd s pie - I can t pick just one! Both warm you up from the inside and just scream Winter. Plus, they re really quick and easy to make. When heading to the cinema, what is your go-to snack? Pick n Mix definitely - I have a sweet tooth so I d pick sweets over popcorn any day. If I m being healthy then I sometimes take a yogurt with me, which my boyfriend think s is weird and I must admit, when it s dark it s quite hard to eat a yogurt!
4 No more winter blues Even though Autumn tends to send trends into darker colours, homewares is staying bright! This season is all about embracing the white and adding metallic accents or gloss finishes to kitchens, dining areas, living rooms and bedrooms. 1. Tapi Carpets Barnes Neale laminate per m2 2. Sense mirrored round tray with gold edge Laura Ashley palm leaf 5-light pendant Sense gold cutlery set Next 12-piece rose gold plates Wren Kitchens high gloss kitchen 4,096 or per month 7. Children s fashion is all about statements this Autumn, and with bright colours and patterns they re going to love their clothes this season. 2 5 Don t forget with the change in weather, indoor toys are a great way to keep children occupied during the rainy days. 1. Mothercare little bird padded rainbow jacket Mothercare Early Learning Centre rosebud treehouse Mothercare pink butterfly fleece lined mac Mothercare Early Learning Centre big city garage Hobbycraft colour in cardboard playhouse Sports Direct Nike dynamo free child boys trainers Sports Direct Soul Cal monica hi children s trainers Hobbycraft kids circus play tent
