Custom Stain Up Charge Charge for custom stain (any non Pioneer standard color) is 10% of the dealer cost for the order, or a minimum of $52 net. We will make a sample door for the customer to sign off on for a one time charge of $72 list. The directions for ordering a custom stain color are as follows: 1. Your customer brings you a sample piece of wood stained and finished in the custom color. 2. Send this sample piece to Pioneer. 3. Pioneer will create a custom stain to match in house or send out to Sherwin Williams if necessary (this process can take up to two weeks). 4. Pioneer will create a sample door using the custom stain and send the door back to you. 5. Please have your customer sign the back of the sample door and return it to Pioneer. 6. Normal delivery lead times will apply once we have received the signed sample door back at Pioneer. Painted/Tinted Varnish Pioneer offers a variety of painted/tinted varnish finishes for a 15% up charge. Standard cabinet box construction will be with a clear maple vinyl interior. Painted finished interiors optional. In addition, you will need to order finished ends where required. They will be painted and charged according to Pioneer s standard finished end fee structure on page F14. As with all manufacturers five piece painted door products, homeowners should expect minor cracking of the painted finish at door and frame joints. Minor cracks of this nature add to the character of an all-wood painted cabinet, and therefore will not be replaced under warranty. All center panels of doors; flat, solid, raised and beaded, will be constructed with MDF. This will help minimize cracking of the stile/rail and panel joints. 16 Custom Sherwin Williams ONLY Paint Up Charge There is NO Custom Paint Charge when you select a STANDARD Sherwin Williams paint color. Standard 15% paint up charges still apply. The directions for ordering a custom Sherwin Williams paint color are as follows: 1. Your customer selects a Sherwin Williams paint color of their choice. 2. Send your order to Pioneer and write in the Sherwin Williams paint name AND 4 digit SW number on your order. (so we can cross reference to be sure we are using the correct color) 3. ONLY if you order one, Pioneer will finish a sample door with the paint and send it back to you. 4. Normal delivery lead times will apply. Custom (Non-Sherwin Williams) Paint Up Charge Charge for custom paint is 10% of the dealer cost for the order plus the standard 15% paint up charge, for a total of 25%. We will make a sample door for the customer to sign off on along with a one time charge of $258 list. The directions for ordering a custom paint color are as follows: 1. Your customer selects a paint color of their choice. 2. Send to Pioneer a color sample of the paint (not actual paint). 3. Pioneer will order custom paint and finish a sample door using this paint and send it back to you (this process may take up to 3 weeks). 4. Please have your customer sign the back of the sample and return it to Pioneer with your order. 5. Normal delivery lead times will apply once we have received the signed sample door and order. Glazing Pioneer offers Glazing in 4 different colors for a 15% up charge. Paint and glaze combinations are available for a 25% up charge (not 15% for paint and an additional 15% for glaze) on the entire order. Glazing may result in longer lead times. See glaze awareness form on page F21. Order a sample door in the desired combination for $72 list. 2. We will manufacture the door sample and send it to you for approval. 3. Please have your customer sign off on the door, approving the color. 4. Send the door back to Pioneer to use as a match for the order. Since Pioneer stocks all of these materials, there will be no additional custom charges for these cabinets other than the standard paint/glaze up charge, if applicable. Winter 2018 F16

17 Knotty Wood Door Styles Available in Oak, Maple, Hickory and Cherry, but not in Painted. Knotty doors styles will result in an average of 3 knots per door and 5 piece drawer head. Slab doors and drawer heads average 1 knot each. The knots will be solid, you will not be able to see through any knots into the cabinetry. Only available in Solid and Raised panel in our standard construction door styles (not available in 1/4 flat center panels or beaded panels). Not available in mitered door styles. Frames, moldings, applied moldings, and wood accessory items will NOT be Knotty. Available for a 5% up charge on the entire order. Finishing Techniques Weathered Edges A weathered edge includes a heavier sand through randomly on raised edges. The corners of doors and drawer heads are slightly rounded down as part of the process. We also weather raised and beaded center panels of doors, any applied molding on doors, all decorative moldings, valances, legs, feet and any beaded paneling. Since no two manufacturers are alike, we strongly recommend customers see a sample of our weathered edge before ordering any cabinetry. Weathered edges are a 10% up charge and may result in longer lead times. Distressed Finish Distressing includes nicks and dings to simulate the wear and tear that would normally occur through many years of use. We distress all doors, drawer heads, all decorative moldings, valances, legs, feet and any back paneling. We do NOT distress the frames and finished side panels. Since no two manufacturers are alike, we strongly recommend customers see a sample of our distressing before ordering any cabinetry. Distressing is a 5% up charge and may result in longer lead times. Paint/Antiqued Finish Antiquing enhances our current glazing technique and creates a streaked look over the entire surface. Antiqued finish is available in any of our standard Paint and Glaze combinations, other combinations and are available using our Non-Standard Combination procedure. Antiquing is a 35% upcharge (includes the paint and glazing up charges) and may result in longer lead times. Combining Finishing Techniques Pricing for combining multiple finishing techniques can be calculated by combining the previous up charge percentages. 18 Additional Terms and Conditions Warranty Policy Lifetime warranty on all drawer boxes, wood pull-out trays, drawer slides and hinges. Five year limited warranty on all remaining components. Pioneer Cabinetry, Inc. ( Pioneer ) warrants to the original retail purchaser only, the fitness and merchantability of all catalog products manufactured by Pioneer to the retail distributor, subject to the following terms and conditions: NOTICE TO PIONEER - To make a claim under this Warranty, the original retail purchaser must, within thirty (30) days after discovery of the manufacturing defect and within the Warranty period, notify Pioneer in writing of such defect, and provide proof of original purchase. REMEDY - Upon receipt of written notice from the original purchaser and determination by Pioneer that a manufacturing defect exists, Pioneer s sole obligation under this Warranty is to repair or replace, in Pioneer s sole discretion, the defective catalog product. SOLE REMEDY - There shall be no other warranties, expressed or implied, or any other obligation on the part of Pioneer with respect to a catalog product, except the Warranty extended herein. Pioneer s sole responsibility under the Warranty granted herein shall be for the repair or replacement of the defective catalog product. Pioneer shall have no liability whatsoever for any expenses incurred by the original retail purchaser in removing or re-installing the catalog product. EXCLUSIONS - This Warranty does not apply to ordinary wear and tear to catalog products or to catalog products which have been misused, abused, improperly stored, or improperly installed. This Warranty is further voided where the original retail purchaser attempts to repair/replace any alleged manufacturing defect. NO VARIATION OF TERMS - No person has the authority to orally, in writing, or in any other way vary the terms, conditions, or exclusions of this Warranty. LEGAL RIGHTS - This Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. Return Policy Pioneer has developed its product offering with the individual customer in mind. We allow a great deal of flexibility in color, door style, and options on each cabinet produced. All items produced are semi-custom in nature and are made specifically for individual jobs and are therefore, non-returnable and non-refundable. In the event of a defective or incorrectly produced item, a return authorization can be obtained from Pioneer s Customer Service Department. Credit Policy All orders placed with Pioneer will be acknowledged subject to credit approval and subject to acceptance of the Credit Application. Pioneer reserves the right to refuse to establish an account with any applicant for any reason and further reserves the complete and sole discretion to impose different and/or additional credit terms in the establishment and continuance of any account. Ordering All orders are subject to our approval and must be submitted in writing with all information complete. Use the Part Numbers from the Pioneer Price and Specification Binder or Pioneer supported catalog in your Design Software progam when placing your order. You may also want to include a kitchen layout when ordering your cabinets. Although we do not assume responsibility for verification of your orders, we may identify potential problems or answers to missing information that will expedite the processing of your order. Cabinets requiring additional information, such as cut-out dimensions on oven cabinets, should be complete at time of order. If the order is incomplete, it will not be acknowledged or scheduled for production until all points have been clarified. Winter 2018 F18

19 Ordering (cont) Jobsite deliveries should be so noted and include complete address information. If provided, general directions, telephone numbers, and a customer contact could save time when scheduling deliveries and should be written on your order. Acknowledgments will be sent to you after processing. It is your responsibility to verify that the order is correct. It is understood and agreed that once Pioneer starts production on your order, the entire amount on that order is due and owing regardless of whether or not an invoice has been issued by Pioneer. Rush Orders All orders placed on a Rush Order Form may be typed that day and, depending on deliveries, may begin production that day. Changes cannot be made to these orders. Change Orders Since all items produced are for a specific job and are semi-custom in nature, no changes may be made to an order after the job has started in our production process. You have 3 working days to verify your Acknowledgement and make any changes. Changes sent to Pioneer after the 3 day window will only be made if we have not started production on your order. Truck Deliveries Pioneer offers deliveries to a store/warehouse location or to a jobsite. Please contact Pioneer s Customer Service department for a delivery quote. UPS Deliveries To any delivery location with a physical address (no lot numbers or PO Boxes) will be subject to an additional delivery fee. Account Terms Shall Prevail Once an account has been accepted and established by Pioneer, any and all orders made shall be specifically limited to the terms of the Credit Application and ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS which constitute the exclusive, complete, and final agreement between us. If the Credit applicant/pioneer s customer should issue a purchase order or document of your own, it is understood and agreed that the terms herein shall supersede the terms of your document. Miscellaneous Pioneer is not responsible for the installation of any product delivered. Any defect in installation of product voids any and all warranties, expressed or implied, except warranty of title. Pioneer shall not be liable for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages, including without limitation, any liquidated damages or penalties of any kind which you may incur. We assume no obligation for expense of any kind, whether arising from delays during replacement or repair of product, for cause, or otherwise. Other than as provided, there are no other warranties extended. Pioneer disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability to the extent permitted by law. Pioneer s sole responsibility is as stated. Pioneer shall not be responsible or liable for any delays or nonperformance in the event of fire, flood, explosion, other catastrophe, acts of God, war, riot, civil disturbance, strike, lockout, refusal of employees to work, labor disputes, shortage or inability to obtain new materials, energy requirements, failures of carriers to deliver machinery, equipment, or material, in the event any legislative, executive or judicial act of any political or governmental authority substantially affects Pioneer s operations, or in the event Pioneer s suspends or discontinues business for any reason, or any other reason beyond the control of Pioneer. You have chosen a Paint/tinted varnish finish. A tinted varnish process is a truly beautiful finish that is unique from other finished wood products. To be sure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase, we want you to fully understand the nature of this uniqueness. The changing temperature and moisture level in your home will affect wood cabinets. You should anticipate shrinkage or expansion of the joints in all doors, drawer heads and face frames. Therefore, you should expect minor cracking of the painted finish in all doors, drawer heads and face frame joints. Minor cracks of this nature add to the character of an all wood painted cabinet, and therefore will not be replaced under warranty. This condition is not in any way considered defective workmanship or defective material. It will not affect the stability of the cabinetry, doors or finish in general. Glazing produces a truly beautiful finish that is unique from other finished wood products. To be sure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase, we want you to fully understand the nature of this uniqueness. The process of glazing begins with the hand-application of stain/paint on all finished cabinet components. After curing, a glaze compound is applied. Because of the technique used in achieving this special finish, glaze build up will occur around the door and drawer front edges, door panels and flat surfaces such as drawer heads and cabinet end panels. The build up of the glazing compound will vary from one piece to another and the variations may be dramatic. The broad variations inherent to glaze finishes are considered to be the beauty of this finish. We call your attention to the characteristics of glazed finishes because the effect of the variation in an entire kitchen may be different from what you witness in viewing displays or a finish sample. These variations are common in glazed finishes and will not be reason for replacement. I have read this agreement and find the true variations of glazing desirable. 22 Dear Customer: Wood Properties Awareness Form Congratulations on your decision to purchase cabinetry from Pioneer Cabinetry Inc. Your cabinetry may come with solid wood face frames and doors. Some of the advantages of choosing a door style that has a solid wood center panel or is a solid wood slab door (Winchester or Providence) include that your doors will age uniformly so that your cabinetry should always maintain a consistent color. However, solid wood doors do have some minor disadvantages. This includes the fact that wood comes from natural living tree, it maintains some characteristics that occur naturally and cannot be altered. Specific characteristics of the species of wood you have selected can be found on our website, or in a Pioneer Cabinetry brochure. Changing temperature and moisture levels in your home will affect wood cabinets, the same way it affects hardwood floors. Therefore, you should expect minor shrinking or swelling of the center panels as well as movement at the joints in all doors, multi-piece drawer heads and face frame joints. With solid wood slab doors this could cause the overall door width to swell (causing the doors to rub/overlap each other) or shrink (creating a larger gap between doors). This is an inherent property of wood and therefore any issues related to this will not cause items to be replaced under warranty. This condition is not in any way considered defective workmanship or material. It will not affect the stability of your cabinetry, doors or finish in general. As the seasons change the humidity level in your home will rise and fall and can be greatly impacted depending on the severity of the change and the humidity level you maintain in your home. If your issue persists for more than one full heating season (approximately one year), please take a sample in to your Pioneer dealer and we will work with them to resolve your issue.
