4 4-5 Sandy Amphitheater 2013 Season New Electric Sound and The North Valley, July 13- New Electric Sound has a sound that falls between today s music and an older era. You will swear that you ve heard their catchy songs before, but you will find that you never have. Just try getting their songs out of your head. The North Valley is a young but ambitious quintet from Salt Lake City. The band formed in late 2011 but had already found a welcome place in SLC s music scene. The band s first CD, Basic//Complex was released in February of this year. Polytype Strives to create an immersive experience for the participant. The Souvenirs and The Hollering Pines, Sept. 7- The Souvenirs bring life to a style of country music all its own. These sisters draw you in with harmony-laden lyrics reminiscent of an earlier era. The Hollering Pines bring their brand of Americana drawing on the strength of a tube-driven radio signal, parting a sea of static, bouncing off heaven and back to earth. Sandy Arts Guild Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, Aug This is a zany new 1920 s musical that has taken Broadway by storm, winning the Tony Award for Best Musical. Taking place in New York City in 1922, this musical tells the story of Millie Dillmount who has just moved to the city in search of a new life. It s a New York full of intrigue, jazz music, flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess. Not performed on Sunday, Aug 11. Free-For-All concerts A series of free concerts are held on various nights throughout the summer with no tickets required. Come early for the best seat. American West Symphony, June 26 Sandy s own community orchestra, American West Symphony comes to the Amphitheater for its annual summer Pops Concert. Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of great music under the stars.
