Contents P. 2 The Artists P. 4 The Concerts P. 10 Tickets & Venues P. 11 Contact (SEATTLE, WA) Emerald City Music announces its second season of concerts in Seattle s South Lake Union and Olympia, WA. This follows their raved-about inaugural season in , featured in The Seattle Times, CityArts Magazine, The Olympian, The Tacoma News Tribune, and more. The new season focuses on the legacy of Leonard Bernstein, with special highlights such as the world-premiere of there is no one, not even the wind by Pulitzer and Grammy award winning composer John Luther Adams, and the Seattle debut of acclaimed composer and percussionist Andy Akiho SEASON OVERVIEW The Theme Season 02 celebrates the centennial of the legendary composer, conductor, and pianist Leonard Bernstein. Of course, the repertoire isn t only Bernstein and his close collaborators, but delves into the greater legacy Bernstein left to the musical world. From the leading American composers of today, to the influence of blues and jazz, to the new ways Bernstein helped us experience geniuses like Beethoven; Emerald City Music s second season is as bold and eclectic as ever. The Concerts Vogue, non-traditional performances in South Lake Union feature the world s top soloists and chamber musicians in a chique, casual downtown venue. In Olympia, the music is enhanced with stories told from stage, performed in the city s timeless concert halls.
