19 Who We Are 30 Faculty members with specialization in: Composition Technical Theatre Ethnomusicology Acting and Directing Performance Studies Various instrumentation specialists. Dr. Leonardo Cardoso & Dr. Kim Kattari are co-conveners of the Performance & Culture Working Group on campus. Dr. Isacc Bustos & Dr. Mariana Gariazzo perform together for a music class. Dr. David Donkor gives a lecture over his research at the Glasscock Center for Humanities. Dr. James Ball III shares his research on diplomatic performances at a faculty colloquium.
20 Overall Requirements Must complete 120 hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0 overall and minimum GPA of 2.0 in Performance Studies coursework. 18 hours of major coursework must be completed at TAMU Must complete 36 hours of upper-division (300 or 400 level) courses, 12 hours of which must be completed in major coursework. Must complete two PERF courses formally designated as writing intensive. Incorporate 6 hours from the list of approved courses for International & Cultural Diversity into your degree plan.

PERF 101 students present their final project about voting and equality. Students perform at the Electric LaTex Festival.
31 Study Abroad The department currently offers three recurring study abroad opportunities PERF in Sydney: explore Performance Studies at the University of Sydney TAMU in Tokyo: study Japanese Traditional Performing Arts Argentina, Culture and Tango: perform tango, study Argentinian culture, and develop Spanish language skills. The opportunity for faculty led programs is also available, recent trips include: Music and the Human Experience in Italy (Summer Performance Studies in London University of Sydney Study Abroad in Tokyo
