27 HDMI - Basic Source A Source is expected to read the Sink s E-EDID via the DDC channel and deliver only the audio and video formats that are supported by the Sink.

28 HDMI - Basic Sink Once the 5V power is established from a source the Sink will reply within 20msec with E-EDID information to the Source of it s capabilities. This reply can also include vendor specific commands.
