4 Why are you taking these notes? 1. Writing helps us remember. 2. You will have the resource to check. 2. Your citations will always be correct. 3. You will be self-reliant! (no need to ask anyone a question)
5 This continues from yesterday you have the heading for MLA citations with dialogue NOTE: the next slide looks similar, but it is different! Copy it as you see it! We did go back and review several areas from yesterday.
6 dialogue quotes- The double quote shows You are copying text Open and close the dialogue with single quotation marks. Introduce your quote quote (citation). Always introduce your quote. Never start a sentence with a quote. Set the citation apart with parenthesis. The period goes after the citation
