3 Artist Biographies TIFFANY AYALIK Ophelia Tiffany was born in Yellowknife, NT and is of Inuit ancestry. It was in the North, listening to stories from her elders, that she discovered her love of storytelling, and the powerful change that hearing a story can bring about. After receiving her Diploma in Acting from Red Deer College, she continued her studies at the University of Alberta, and graduated With Distinction with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. Tiffany travels across Canada and has performed in Greenland, Iceland and in Europe sharing her blend of story, song, movement and improv. Tiffany often collaborates with musical partner Greyson Gritt in their Juno-award winning band, Quantum Tangle. TANTOO CARDINAL Gertrude Tantoo is a member of the Order of Canada (2009) and has worked steadily in film and television on both sides of the border for over 40 years, appearing in over 100 film and television projects. She is known for Blackstone; Dances with Wolves; Black Robe; Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman; North of 60; Legends of the Fall and Loyalties. She has won numerous awards for her performances: A Gemini for North of 60, a First Americans in the Arts Awards for The Education of Little Tree, an American Indian Film Festival Best Actress Award for Where the Rivers Flow North, a Women in Film Award (Vancouver International Film Festival) for Mothers & Daughters, a Leo Award for Blackstone, and she shares a Best Ensemble Cast Award (Philadelphia FirstGlance Film Festival) for Shouting Secrets. She was nominated for a Genie for Loyalties.

He has been acting professionally since he was eight years old, when he played Chip the Teacup in the opening night Toronto cast of Beauty and the Beast and originated the voice of Franklin the Turtle. He has performed at Coal Mine Theatre, Soulpepper Theatre, Stratford Festival, Mirvish, Summerworks, Blythe, Theatre Aquarius and the Neptune Theatre, and has worked extensively in television and film, including Kevin From Work, House of Lies, Cardinal, Old Stock, Rookie Blue, Cracked, Score: A Hockey Musical and People Hold On, for which he received a CSA nomination for best original song. His debut album Songs From A Broken Chair was released in He is a graduate of both the Etobicoke School of the Arts and the National Theatre School of Canada. Currently, he can be seen as Patrick on Schitt s Creek. RICHARD ROSE Director Richard Rose is the Artistic Director of Tarragon Theatre. Prior to joining the Tarragon in 2002, Richard was Founding Artistic Director at Necessary Angel, Associate Director for Canadian Stage Company, Director of the Stratford Festival Young Company and spent ten seasons directing at the Stratford Festival. Richard is well known for developing new work, including four plays that won the Governor General s Award and nine other nominated plays. He is a four-time Dora award winner for direction and production and has had numerous nominations.
