1 RESUME john daniels, jr. GOALS To affect a change in American Society using theatre and film participation as a tool. To begin a change in our society, moving it from its "passive judgment" status quo to an "active participant" philosophy. BELIEFS Theatre is a public forum created by the need to express the individual's hope for life. Theatre is created to reflect the need for change. Theatre is action not description. Theatre belongs to every man, no training is required and no rules of class apply. All roles in theatre belong to the actor who's energy aligns with it. Casting is never to be based on type, race, gender, or size. EDUCATION B.A. in Theatre and Communications from Texas A & M Kingsville, Texas. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Ten years as an actor in the touring rep-company, THE BILINGUAL THEATER COMPANY playing throughout Texas and Mexico, including nine months in Mexico City. Also road manager and tech-director for the same company. Directed productions 66 theatre productions for 22 different theatre companies, organizations, and schools. Forty-five of my original scripts have been produced. Taught seven years of Jr. High Theater. Founded theater in a RTC, Residential Treatment Center, for emotionally disturbed, teenage, boys. PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE Thirty-five years active involvement in theatre. Roles in over 110 productions. Over 1600 live performances. Directed 71 productions for 22 different theatre companies, organizations, and schools. Designed 50+ productions including ten major musicals. Served seven years on the board of directors for THE SOUTH TEXAS PERFORMANCE COMPANY\BILINGUAL THEATER COMPANY. Artistic Director of CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS a multi-discipline artist cooperative. Co-Founder of THE EARTH & SKY ACTING COMPANY of Corpus Christi and THE EARTH & SKY ACTING CO, of Austin, Texas Four years video production for STAR LEGAL VIDEOGRAPHY legal videos, Personal Documentaries, video testimonies. Three years extreme low budget filmmaking as GORGOLO FLIX.
