1 DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE Attachment A Travel, Hotel, and Hospitality Requirements Current as of 10/10/2008 G R O U N D T R A N S P O R T A T I O N For fly in/fly out dates, PURCHASER shall at his sole cost and expense, provide GROUND TRANSPORTATION for ARTIST and entourage of twenty (20) people plus luggage and equipment, etc. between airport, hotel, concert venue, hotel and return to airport upon departure. The band will need one (1) full size coach bus. The group also travels with luggage and equipment and must have a separate vehicle available as well. If the band has arranged to drive to / from the engagement, it will travel with a motor coach at its own cost. PURCHASER agrees to provide ARTIST'S REPRESENTATIVE with detailed directions to the place of performance. Parking for TWO (2) forty-five foot tour buses must be provided as close to the stage or stage door entrance as possible. This area must be secured and not accessible to the general public. H O T E L A C C O M O D A T I O N S If PURCHASER is providing HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS, a minimum of twenty (20) King single rooms are required. For fly in/fly out dates, two (2) nights of hotel accommodations are required. The rooms shall be available until the day after the performance with the ARTIST to comply with checkout times and hotel rules. The PURCHASER shall not be responsible for any extra charges during the stay of the ARTIST. Please list the name, address and phone of the hotel being provided by the PURCHASER or two (2) recommendations of clean, 4-star hotels if PURCHASER is not providing hotel accommodations. Hotels with twenty-four hour room service and or restaurants are essential. 2 A I R T R A N S P O R T A T I O N When contracted to provide air travel, PURCHASER is to provide twenty (20) coach tickets. Coach tickets are to be either S or Y class and transferable, endorsable and upgradeable. In addition, for any flights associated with this engagement, any overweight and/or oversize charges will be at the PURCHASER S sole expense. On special engagement dates, additional coach tickets may be required. When PURCHASER provides air travel using coupons, vouchers or passes and the flight options are inconvenient, as solely determined by ARTIST s representative, ARTIST reserves the right to make other flight arrangements and either acquire such vouchers from PURCHASER for subsequent travel, or be reimbursed in full for the tickets acquired in the aforementioned classes of service. PURCHASER shall be responsible for any local, municipal or governmental air travel taxes and fees. H O S P I T A L I T Y A N D D R E S S I N G R O O M S DRESSING ROOMS PURCHASER shall provide at least two (2) comfortable and private DRESSING ROOMS, each adequate for use by ten to twelve (10-12) people, with one marked THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA and the other marked PRESERVATION HALL JAZZ BAND. These rooms shall be clean, dry, well-lit, heated or air-conditioned, and shall contain the following: Steamer and/or Electric iron and board in each dressing room Coat rack with hangers in each room Sufficient amount of sofas or chairs in each room Full-length mirror in each room Tables TOILET FACILITES PURCHASER shall provide a private toilet (not available to the public) BACKSTAGE. Wash area with hot and cold running water, clean towels and soap. SECURITY PURCHASER shall guarantee adequate SECURITY at all times to insure the safety of the ARTIST'S personal instruments, personal property, and tour vehicles (if applicable) from the beginning of load-in to completion of load-out. All dressing rooms shall be lockable and key is to be given to the tour manager and will be returned after the performance. USE OF FACILITIES ARTIST must have the full facilities available for its exclusive use and direction during the entire period of the engagement. Individuals who are backstage without the authorization of ARTIST may be asked to leave. 2

3 Down by the Riverside Catering Hospitality should be available two hours prior to show time and remain available until 30 minutes following the end of the performance. When dinner is provided a representative from the house must remain with the artists till dinner is complete. Any changes must be discussed in advance with Artist Tour Manager. Daily Provisions: To be set up and divided between the dressing rooms before sound check (with the exception of alcohol which should remain in the PHJB dressing room). Three (3) Cases of Spring Water (No Dasani or Aquafina) Assorted soft drinks to include diet beverages (Coke, Diet Coke, Root Beer, Orange Crush, Grape) Twelve (12) V-8 Juices Assorted juices Assorted Herbal Teas Hot Water Coffee, cream (Half and Half), non-dairy creamer, sweet & low, and sugar Cheese tray (with crackers) Two (2) deli trays for people each Assorted fresh fruit (to include bananas, apples and oranges or seasonal fruits, watermelon when available) Assorted Chips and Dip Assorted sugar-free snacks Eight (8) Yogurts Assorted Hershey Bars (Almonds) and also sugar-free candy Eighteen (18) Premium beers, preferably 12 local brew and 6 Corona Four (4) Bottles of Wine (Merlot or Cabernet) (Napa Valley or French or Chile) One (1) Bottle Gordons Gin One (1) Bottle Of Olives stuffed with Pimentos. Throat Ease Thirty (30) Clean Hand Towels (Black or dark color preferred) Weekly Menu: When meal buy-outs are arranged with tour manager, the Blind Boys of Alabama prefer a meal buy-out of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per person (including crew). Total buy-out for BBoA is $ Preservation Hall Jazz Band prefers a hot meal to be provided by purchaser, however will accept a meal buy-out of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per person (including crew). Total buy-out for PHJB is $ (NOTE: For meals provided by purchaser, the menus below are meant as a guideline to help the artists have quality and variety while on long tours. ALL menus need to be approved by Tour Manager one week before performance date. One band member is vegetarian and several members of the group are diabetic. Please make to go plates available for the band as some prefer to eat after performance. The band appreciates tasting local flavors and cuisine. 7 DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE Technical Requirements Current as of 10/10/ PURCHASER shall not allow audience to enter place of performance until technical set-up has been completed. The place of performance must be made available to the ARTIST two hours before theater is opened to the public and one-hour after the show. Festival producers are required to comply with this policy unless otherwise agreed in writing with the artist's representative. 2. PURCHASER shall provide a minimum of three (3) stagehands to help ARTIST'S crew for load-in, stage setup, operation of the lighting and sound equipment, load-out and banner hang. These persons are in addition to a lighting board operator, sound console operator for the performance. a. Stagehands will be required upon load-in and load-out to coordinate setup, preparation and hanging of ARTIST S banners, stage dressings, and backdrops as requested on back wall of stage and the removal of such items for load out after show. Please prepare your stage staff for this critical role. 3. In cases where ARTIST is staying overnight in the town of performance, PURCHASER will store ARTIST'S equipment overnight in a secured area and make it available to ARTIST the following day upon departure. If ARTIST is arriving and departing by air, PURCHASER will arrange for the equipment to be loaded and transported to and from the airport and the venue in a cargo van. When possible, this van will accompany the other vehicles transporting the ARTIST to airport. SOUND: Purchaser will supply a first class sound system, at no cost to Artist including: Forty (40) Channel Mixing Console One (1) high quality Reverb One (1) high quality delay unit Twenty-Four (24) Mic Stands with appropriate microphones and cables (with one straight round base) (a few mid size short boom stands are useful as well.) Four (4) Sennheiser or Shure Wireless Handheld Microphones; Eight (8) Monitor Mixes total (8 for BBoA; PHJB uses 6) Two (2) Direct Boxes STAGE: The stage must be of ample size with the minimum dimensions of the performing space being 24 wide and 28 deep from proscenium to the rear wall. A staircase into the audience is required for BBoA to do their closing number as well as the PHJB second line parade into the audience for their closing number. The stage is to be free and clear of all sets, props, or any other stage equipment or building materials that might interfere with ARTIST S use of the facility. The stage temperature should not be less than 65 degrees Fahrenheit or more than 80 degrees Fahrenheit. BANNERS & STAGE DRESSING: ARTIST carries free standing backdrops that are erected behind the band as part of the set, as well as banners which will be attached to electrics. ARTIST prefers a plain black backdrop. LIGHTING: All lighting equipment must be supplied by PURCHASER. General concert lighting is required, but should be kept to a minimum to approximate an antique look this is best achieved with full stage washes in blended ambers, reds, blues and some whites. The stage wash should be set to encompass the entire stage, as the musicians will be seen to the same degree both upstage and downstage. Front light or low angle light must be avoided - bright lights must not be focused directly into musicians eyes. ONE SPOT LIGHT IS NEEDED DURING THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA SET.

12 ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION NOTES INSTRUMENT SETUP FOR 1 ST HALF OF SHOW: Drums The bass drum is to be set flush against the back legs of the trombone and trumpet chair. Piano The piano faces outward as the pianist has his back to the rest of the band and looks offstage. Bass Is the middle point of the band set up at center stage, in between piano and drums. Bass player needs to be provided with a wooden stool. Trombone, Trumpet, Sax, Clarinet chairs Each are placed about 3 feet from the lip of the stage. The distance between the chairs should exceed no more than 2 1/2 feet. MONITORS: Eight monitors are required, with a separate mix for each. ADDITIONAL NOTES: - Please remove all risers from the stage prior to load-in. - Four (4) Straight Back Wooden Chairs. Antiques or distressed looking is a plus. If they do not match is a plus as well. - Bar stool for the bass player. - Various lighting schemes should be set by band load in. - Note how deep the stage should go. Back travelers are preferred. Using a mid-stage traveler may not allow enough room behind the band as they prefer.
