2 Collapse is a visual concert which aims to bring together in coexistence projections of video art animation, and a live performance of classical music, Trio Dell'Arte, a classical chamber ensemble (with Chrysostomos Neofytou, Frederic Dupuis and Emilie Mutin), collaborates with Cypriot video artists Nicolas Iordanou and Sylvia Nicolaides and the animator Charalambos Margaritis to create a renovating proposal of artistic expression which is based on the balance of sound and image. The enrichment of the concert space with projections which are invited to accompany and converse with the music aims to give to the viewers a twofold and a more vivid interpretation of each musical composition. It attempts to become a wholesome experience for the viewer. The objective is not the descriptive illustration of the musical compositions, but the rendition of the instantaneous impressions that meet in a singular and at the same time infinite PRESENT Sergei Rachmaninoff Trio No.1 in D Minor, Op.9, élégiaque 2. 3 Regimes, the world economy, computer systems and buildings (especially the walls) are some things (let s call them this way) which face the threat of collapse. The same, as we know, stands for our civilization and life on planet Earth. The same stands for human beings. Music, in various northern mythologies, is considered to be the beginning of everything, the first cause for the creation of our world. Creation is not the opposite of collapse: creation is the other s collapse. Inside their prolific Difference, sounds and images are being freed. Space, or the area where the work of art is founded, is called Possibility. The work Collapse, as a visual concert is a venture of occupancy in Possibility: it s a gesture of going deeper in the prolific essence of Difference; it s an attempt of widening our common Continuance. Possibility / Difference / Continuance: the work of art s time and space is a continuing, even eternal present: Here and Now, which means: Always. A single moment. Music is not a soundtrack for the images and the images are not an illustration for the music. The visual concert equals a discussions and a balance. The priority belongs to the unseen third factor: the Relationship. The work Collapse is not the product of this relationship between music and images: it s the work as the revelation of the Relationship in progress, which finally means that the work of art is the Relationship itself. We must think of Love, or, to be more accurate, Eros. Who used to live in that fluid area of difference, between Porus (meaning wealth) and Penia (meaning poverty), his parents. Always in the middle. Always in between. The visual concert Collapse is a work of art set in these borderlines. And borderlines are always a minefield, a dangerous and threatening place. The visual concert Collapse faces the threat of collapse. That is OK since love is a risky game. And so it goes.

4 Frederic Dupuis, who since his graduation from the Conservatory of Paris with first prizes, in cello and chamber music, has enjoyed a varied and distinguished musical career. Since 1991, he is the principal cellist of the National Orchestra of Ile de France with whom he has performed as soloist numerous concertos. Emilie Moutin who after her brilliant passing from the conservatory of Lyon has pursuit her music education in Paris. There she obtained first prizes in piano and chamber music, as well in history of music, music writing and musical analysis from the Paris Conservatory. Neofytou Chrysostomos who following his studies in Cyprus, in 2001 he moved to Paris where he obtained his first prizes in violin and chamber music with honours. In 2011 he obtained his Masters of Arts Performance degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London. The Trio Dell Arte was founded at the beginning of 2009.They have made their debut concert in Paris. Followed by a series of concerts in U.K, Cyprus, and France assembling always acclaimed excellent critics for their performance.

5 Charalambos Margaritis graduated from the National Superior Fine Arts School of Paris (ENSBA) in His work is centered around printmaking, animated films, drawing and painting. He participated in several exhibitions and his animated work has been selected and screened in festivals around the world. At the same time, he has created (alone and in collaboration with others) video clips for several musicians in Greece and in France, such as the group Active Member, Yiorgos Zambetas, the group Pulcinella, Ian Balzan and others. He is a member of the artistic collective Miracle, that is based in Paris but collaborates with a lot of artists (plasticians, poets, writers, philosophers and others) in many countries, such as Benin, Hungary and England. He is also the cofounder of Kimonos Art Center in Paphos, Cyprus. Sylvia Nicolaides studied Fine Arts in Chelsea College of Art and Design (University of the Arts) London and her received a Master s Degree in Audio-Visual Studies in the Academy of Performing Arts, in the Film and Television department (FAMU) in Prague, Czech Republic.She participated in several group art exhibitions and her films were awarded and screened at several film festivals both in Cyprus and internationally. In 2013 she participated in the exhibition Catharsis/Rebirth in Paphos, Cyprus and co-directed a short film presentation from it, which was selected and presented in the Louvre Museum in Paris as part of the Michelangelo Pistoletto s exhibition Annee Un Le Paradis Sur Terre. She is the co-founder of Kimonos Art Center, and the co-founder and co-director of the Paphos International GFilm Festival (PIFF). Nicolas Iordanou studied Photography at Columbia College Chicago. From 2001 until 2006 he worked as a photojournalist, dealing with conflict and postwar photography in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Palestine/Israel, Uganda, Lebanon and also covered the September 11 attacks in New York City. He collaborates pro bono with the United Nations (UNHCR) and with the Doctors of the World. In 2005 he was invited by the Goethe Institut as a reviewer in the 1st Photography Festival of Berlin. In 2007, he was assigned to photograph an international project called Challenging Walls in collaboration with Akademie der Künste Berlin and Sibylle Bergmann, whose goal was to bring conflicted communities closer, having a common vision of peace and coexistence. This project was exhibited in Abu Dis, Israel/ Palestine. In 2013 he participates in the exhibition Catharsis/Rebirth in Paphos, Cyprus and codirects a short film presentation from it, which was selected and presented in the Louvre Museum in Paris as part of the Michelangelo Pistoletto s exhibition Annee Un Le Paradis Sur Terre. He co-directed documentaries and short films that were awarded and screened around the world. He is the co-founder of Kimonos Art Center and co-director of Paphos International Film Festival in Cyprus.
