The PÔLE ALIÉNOR is a partner of the Universities of Poitiers : and Tours : of the Abbaye aux Dames de Saintes (Jeune orchestre de Abbaye aux Dames) : The PÔLE ALIÉNOR is an active member of the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC): within this association partnerships have aready been estabished with numerous European institutions. Poitiers is setted in the North of the Nouvee Aquitaine region, and connected with big european major cities (Paris, Bordeaux, Brusse, London ) by the high-speed rairoad. 19 ASSESSMENT AND GRADING SYSTEM Learning Agreement and Transcript of Records Your mobiity at the PÔLE ALIÉNOR wi be taken into account for the vaidation of your dipoma. The Learning Agreement defines the subjects you foow at the CESMD. It has to be signed and vaidated by your home institution before your arriva. It is possibe to change some courses at your arriva: in this case it has to be vaidated again. At the end of your stay, the PÔLE ALIÉNOR wi send a Transcript of Records to you and to the responsibe person in your home institution. This document wi make the transfer of credits possibe. The vaidation of your resuts is the responsibiity of your home institution. Grading scae In the assessment system (schoos and University), the marking scae is Marks above 1 are very rare for a subject area, and they are exceptiona for a semester- or year average. To pas pass a course unit, a student must receive 10 as a minimum. Practica guide for internationa students Athough the PÔLE ALIÉNOR, is NOT part of the Université de Poitiers, you find in this guide a ot of information about administrative formaities (heath insurance, etc.) and practica information. VISA Students from the European Union and European Economic Area do not require visas. Students residing in the European Community who do not have European citizenship must appy for a student visa at the consuate of their country of residency. Their European residence permit aows them to stay in France egay for 3 months ony, which is not sufficient for a student mobiity program. Appications for a ong séjour (ong stay) visa must be submitted in your country of residence. There is no way of obtaining authorization for a visa once you have arrived in France. 20
