SAMPLE REPERTOIRE LIST NOTE: Each list of repertoire is representative of the recommended level. One movement of a sonata is considered one selection, unless otherwise noted.

Repertoire that requires piano ensemble must be performed with piano; collaborative pianists are not provided; however, the department can refer you to professionals in the Regina area.

Viola, Cello A three octave scale A movement from an unaccompanied Bach suite, sonata or partita One concerto from the standard repertoire A selection (not a sonata - exception: the Baroque period) from any musical period excluding the musical period represented by the own choice concerto movement Double Bass Two contrasting movements of a Baroque sonata or concerto (Examples: Capuzzi, Dittersdorf, etc.) Etude/Study Simandl, Bille, etc. Excerpt Symphonic literature (Examples: Beethoven 5,9 / Mozart 35,40 / Bach orchestral Suite 2) Technique 3 octave scale in F major KEYBOARD, GUITAR, PERCUSSION, and VOICE Piano Three contrasting pieces, preferably at a minimum of Grade 9 level Royal Conservatory of Music or equivalent. Memorization is preferred.
