Q&A with MOLINO MOLINO answers questions about his life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Happy, outgoing, open, enthusiastic, empathetic, sympathetic. Describe your strong sides: I m outgoing and very honest about how I feel, which probably is why it s so easy to be around me. I have an easy time talking to new people so I have a vast network of friends around the world. When I m done studying I wanna travel for a bit and visit my friends in the US, and around Europe. I m always in a good mood. When that is said, obviously I have bad days too, but I believe that if I put on a smile the rest of the world will smile back, which obviously is making me happy! I have a great spatial awareness which probably is why I excel at most sports. I have a steep learning curve when it comes to ball games. I m very competitive which especially shows when I play board games. I love working in groups and I m always creating tons of ideas due to creativity and ablilty to think outside the box. Describe your weak sides: I like listening to music but I couldn t play an instrument to save my life. I m ridiculous bad at keeping a schedule. I need tons of alarms to make sure I m not late. I m good at creating ideas but I can t follow up. I m bad at keeping a focus and I m always finding excuses to procrastinate. What is your marital status? Single. Do you have any children? No. Which types of sport do you play or have played? Football, handball, basketball, volleyball, racketball, tennis, swimming, jiu-jitsu, snowboard, dance. Which other types of sports are you interested in? Judo, wrestling, Formula 1, racing. List any other hobbies you may have or have had: Cooking, reading, computers, gaming, board gaming. List which musical instruments you play or have played: None. Religion: None. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 8. Do you eat healthy? Always. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? All the time. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? At most 2 glasses of beer. Which countries have you visited: Denmark (Native), Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Italy, Austia, Turkey, Germany, Serbia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Botzwana, Namibia, and Brazil Describe the best holiday you have had: The best holiday I had was my very first trip to South Africa. I was around 10 years old and traveled with my mom, sister and stepdad. The first half of the 3 week holiday was in Johannesburg where my stepdad and I talked about SouthAfrican politics. I learned about the troublesome situations in the country and began to understand more about the South African lands. After an 1½ hour drive from Johannesburg we arrived at the biggest waterpark I ve ever seen. I had the time of my life and I guess I could have stayed for severel days if the choice was mine to make. But I m glad it wasn t. Because the day after we drove north to the safari national parks. For the first time in my life I was about to see the animals, which I ve only seen in TV or the zoo, in their natural habitat. At the very first day we ran across an elephant bull that apparently had some aggression issues. Because without warning it started charging at us, while we where in the jeep. After 200 meters of intense chasing, the elephant backed off and we were all good. I could tell a thousand stories like this about the trip but I won t. The reason why this was such a great trip was probably because I had so many firsts. The first safari trip, the first out-of-europe trip, the first beef jerky (which I still eat), and so on. A fond memory with a great family! What do you like the most about your own country: The fact that we take care of our citizens in need. Our high taxes makes it posible to create a vast safety net to assist the ones in need. Our school and healthcare is free, so no one is left out in the cold. I love the fact that even though we only got less than 6 milion citizens we always manage to pull some gold medals at the Olympics. We are in the front of green energy and I m proud to be part of the solution to make our planet more healthy.
Q&A with MOLINO - continued MOLINO s dreams, favourites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? I don t have idols, heroes, and such. I belive that traveling your own path makes your more capable of dealing with whatever life throws at you. As my mom always says: The least traveled road is always the most eventful. A motto I live by. I am a fighter and what doesn t kill me makes me start running. ;) What are your goals in life? This might sound corny but I wish to make the world a better place. I believe it will happen if I follow my heart and dream to open my own fitness gym exclusively for the elderly. My plan is to train them and aid them in their daily life struggles and make them strong and capable enough to take care of themselves. Not only will their life quality rise but entire countries will have an immense economical burden lifted due to the lack of elderly expenses. That is how I belive I can make the world a better place. Scariest: When I got lost in the woods in the middle of the night with nothing but a dead phone and my imagination. I spent 3½ hours finding my way out. Did I mention that I used to be afraid of the dark as a kid? Proudest: When I saved the life of my good friend, who had an allergic reaction to a snake bite in Sweden. I noticed the early signs of an allergic reaction, so I shoved 3 antihistamines in his throat and called an ambulance even though my friends said I was overreacting. He was in the hospital for 5 days and had complications in the following 6 months. What were your childhood dreams: My childhood dreams were to become an engineer in chemistry. I ve always had a good relationship with my granddad who has his own business. He took an engineering degree in chemistry and up untill my first year in the university I had that dream. I dropped out of my studies because I could feel that it wasn t me. I roamed around a bit, worked, got inlisted and such untill I found my calling. Which values do you rank the highest? Honesty, kindness, sympathy, and compassion. Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? When I, at the age of about 11, saw my dad very drunk. He was so unlike the dad I ve known, which scared me. It was at a family party on my father s side (parents divorced when I was 6), and a lot of alcohol was consumed that night. That very day, I learned 2 very important lessons. First, I learned a healthy respect for alcohol. And secondly, I learned what kind of father I did not want to be. Which was your greatest experience or moment? When I saw my all time favorite band Linkin Park performing live in Denmark. It was an unforgettable moment. Happiest: The birth of my first nephew. A perfect little boy born without any complications. I was floating on a cloud out of the hospital that day. Funniest: When I saw my very first live comedy stand-up show. I literally laughed so hard that I almost pissed myself laughing. Most dangerous: I guess the most dangerous was when I went skydiving. It was the most thrilling experience but nevertheless an experience that I probably won t repeat. Greatest sorrow: When I learned that both my dad and stepdad was hit by cancer. I dropped out of school for a year to process the news. What is your favourite colour? Red. The colour of passion and maby the most provocative colour. It s multisex, but yet intimidates some guys, which is why I love it. It s my little outburst from the norm I guess. What is your favourite animal? The water buffalo. I ve always found something majestic about the animal. Can t really put my finger on it, bu every time you stare into their gaze you feel like a pray even though it s a herbivore.
