Introduction Congratulations on the purchase of your new Multi-function Thermostat Timer with big LCD with backlight. The product is designed to automatically turn a connected electrical device on or off at designated times. Lights that should turn on and off every day at the same time can be automatically controlled by the digital weekly timer. Other devices can be activated using the digital weekly timer as well: for example your radio, so that you wake up to your favorite station or show, or your aquarium lighting,tv,air conditiner. With twenty different switch on and off times, three different random modes and a countdown mode,four different heat modes,four different cool mode,this multifunction timer offers countless other options. Before first use Remove all liners and packaging materials and check the device for damage. Clean the device as described under Cleaning and care. Follow all the below Safety notes while doing so. 3
Safety notes Before you use your digital timer switch, please observe the following points: 1. Read the user manual thoroughly before use. Follow all safety instructions to prevent injury due to incorrect use. 2. If you give the device to a third party you must include this user manual. 3. Batteries Only use batteries of the best quality. Low-grade batteries could leak, causing damage to the device. Do not dispose of batteries with your household waste! Please dispose of batteries in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with current legislation. Do not recharge batteries or attempt to reactivate them in any other way, do not take batteries apart, throw them in fire or short-circuit batteries. Do not use old and new batteries or batteries of different types simultaneously. Before disposing of the device, remove the batteries. Reset Push the RESET button to simultaneously delete all programs and settings,back to factory default settings. 8
Set the Clock and Date In clock mode,push SET/MODE button for 3 seconds, go to clock and date setting mode. 1. Set the weekday using RND/+ or CD/2. Push SET/MODE button 3. Set the 12Hr/24Hr using RND/+ or CD/4. Push SET/MODE button 5. Set the hours using RND/+ or CD/6. Push SET/MODE button 7. Set the minutes using RND/+ or CD/8. Push SET/MODE button,second restart to Zero. 9. Set the C/ F using RND/+ or CD/10. Push SET/MODE button, back to clock mode. For examples, we set 10:40:00AM,Thursday, Temperature symbol is C as below: If you choose 12Hr,AM/PM will display. If you choose F, the temperature will diplay in F Mark: During time setting, if no operation for 30 seconds The thermso timer switches automatically back to clock mode display. 9
DST (Daylight Saving Time) While in time mode, push and hold the RND/+ and CD/- at the same time,daylight saving time symbol( ) appears on the display. The time of day is automatically set forward an hour. Repeat this step to reset to the normal time, the daylight saving time symbol( )disappears from the display. Mode Sequence Push and hold the SET/MODE button and push the RND/+ button (3) repeatedly. Push and hold to toggle through more quickly. The sequence of modes is shown: Time mode: CLOCK Switching program mode: PROG 1 ON - PROG 1 OFF PROG 2 ON - PROG 2 OFF and so on until... PROG 20 ON - PROG 20 OFF PROG Random: PROG 21 ON- PROG 21 OFF Countdown mode: CD HEAT mode: HEAT H1 ON OFF HEAT H2 ON - HEAT H2 OFF HEAT H3 ON - HEAT H3 OFF HEAT H4 ON - HEAT H4 OFF 10
COOL mode: COOL C1 ON OFF COOL C2 ON - COOL C2 OFF COOL C3 ON - COOL C3 OFF COOL C4 ON - COOL C4 OFF To show the sequence of modes in reverse order, push and hold the SET/MODE button and push the CD/- button repeatedly or push and hold to toggle through more quickly. 11
Program switch ON and OFF times The multifucntions timer switch s 20 programmable switching programs are subdivided in: ON: for switch-on OFF: for switch-off programs. 1. In clock mode, push and hold the SET/MODE button and push the RND/+ button repeatedly. The display shows the symbols PROG and ON as well as the switching program number 1. 2. Push the SET/MODE button for approx. 3 seconds until the LCD display shows SET next to PROG and the weekday MO blinks. 3. Set the weekday using RND/+ or CD/-, there are following selection, which the switching program is activated: MO = Monday TU = Tuesday WE = Wednesday TH = Thursday CD FR = Friday ON SA = Saturday OFF SU = Sunday MO, TU, WE, TH, FR (Monday to Friday) MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA (Monday to Saturday) SA + SU (Saturday and Sunday) MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU (Monday to Saturday) MONTH 12 DAY YEAR
4. Push the SET/MODE button.the hour blinks. 5. Set the hour using RND/+ or CD/-.Push and hold either button to toggle through more quickly. 6. Push the SET/MODE button.the minute blinks. 7. Set the minute using RND/+ or CD/-. Push and hold either button to toggle through more quickly. 8. Push the SET/MODE button.the second blinks. 9. Set the second using RND/+ or CD/-.Push and hold either button to toggle through more quickly. 10. Push the SET/MODE button. 11. Switching program 1(PROG 1 ON) is set. It will automatically back to program switch mode. 12. Push and hold the SET/MODE button and push the RND/+ button repeatedly. The display shows the symbols PROG and OFF as well as the switching program number 1. 10. Program the switch-off time by above same steps for setting the switch-on time. 11. If required, set all 20 programs in the same way. For examples, we set as below: PROG 1 ON,MO-SA,14:48:35 PROG 1 OFF,MO-SA,18:22:57 13
Program Heat Mode This timer can be used to control heaters. It contains 4 programs, which devided into 1 basic program and 3 addtional programs when you want to set different TARGET temperature in differnt time rang. In clock mode,push and hold SET/MODE,and push RND/+ or CD/- repeatedly.push and hold to toggle through more quickly. Switch to H1 ON OFF mode. 1. Push SET/MODE for 3second, SET, HEAT and PROG symbol will appear in display. 2. Target temperature blinks, using RND/+ or CD/to set the basic temperature for whole day. Marks: 1. Defualt TARGET temperature is 25 C. 2. Current temperature update every 10 seconds. 3. In H1 programs, only need to set target temperature it means,this timer switch will control heater. to maintian room temperture in preset temperature for whole day. 4. After you set the target temperature, if you want to cancel, you can reset the temperature and set as NO,it means, this program is deactivated. 5. You can set different TARGET temperature in different time range. In clock mode,push and hold SET/MODE,and push RND/+ or CD/- repeatedly. Push and hold to toggle through more quickly. Switch to H2 ON programs: 1. Push and hold SET/MODE for 3 seconds. 2. Target temperature will blink,using RND/+ or CD/- to set different temperature. 4. Push SET/MODE 5. Weekday will flash,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the weekday. 3. Push SET/MODE 4. Hours will flash,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the hour. 5. Push SET/MODE 6. Minutes will flash,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the minutes. 7. Push SET/MODE 8. Seconds will flash, using RND/+ or CD/- to set the seconds. 9. Push SET/MODE 10. Go to H2 OFF programs,weekday will flash, using RND/+ or CD/- to set the weekday. (if you change weekday,h2 ON will also be changed ) 11. Push SET/MODE 12. For example, set H1 ON OFF, H2 ON,H2 OFF as below: H1 ON OFF: Target Temp.=26 C HEAT PROG H 2 ON,H2 OFF: Monday to Sunday, 18:00:00~23:36:00,Target Temp.=32 C PROG HEAT SET PROG HEAT This means, from Monday to Sunday, 18:00~23:36, keep the room temperature in 32 C, the rest time keep in 26 C. You can set H3 ON/H3 OFF,H4 ON/H4 OFF in same way to program other different target temperature. 16
Program Cool Mode This thermostat timer can be used to control cooling devices. It contains 4 programs,which devided into 1 basic program and 3 different programs to set the different TARGET temperature with different time. In clock mode,push and hold SET/MODE,and push RND/+ or CD/- repeatedly. Push and hold to toggle through more quickly. Switch to C1 ON OFF mode. 1. Push SET/MODE for 3 seconds, SET, COOL and PROG symbol will appear in display. 2. Target temperature blinks, using RND/+ or CD/to set the basic temperature for whole day. Marks: 1. Defualt TARGET temperature is 25 C 2. Current temperature update every 10 seconds 3. In C1 ON OFF programs, only need to set target temperature, it means,this timer will control cooling devices to maintian room temperture in preset temperature for whole day. 4. Minutes start to flash,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the minutes 7. Push SET/MODE 8. Seconds start to flash,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the seconds 9. Push SET/MODE 10. Automatically go to C2 OFF programs,weekday will flash,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the weekday. (if you change weekday,c2 ON will also be changed ) 11. Press SET/MODE 12. For example, we set C1 ON OFF, C2 ON/C2 OFF as below: C1 ON OFF: Target Temp.=18 C COOL PROG C 2 ON,C2 OFF: Monday to Sunday, 20:00:00~23:45:00,Target Temp.=22 C ZONE PROG COOL PROG COOL This means, from Monday to Sunday, 18:00~23:45, keep the room temperature in 22 C, the rest time keep in 18 C. You can set C3 ON/C3 OFF,C4 ON/C4 OFF in same way to program other different target temperature. 19
How to switch Heat Mode/Cool Mode In clock status, 1. Push SET/MODE,activate HEAT mode. HEAT symbol blinks, symbol shows in display. 2. Push SET/MODE again,activate COOL mode. COOL symbol blinks, symbol shows in display. 3. Push SET/MODE again,back to clock status. HEAT Mode: 1. When CURRENT< TARGET, it will be in ON status, turn on connected heaters, symbol blinks,it means current temperature is rising to TARGET. 2. When CURRENT=TARGET, it will be in OFF status,turn off connected heaters. 3. The current temperature will be decreasing, when temperature decreased 1 C, it will turn ON heaters once again, then infinite loop. COOL Mode: 1. When CURRENT> TARGET, it will be in ON status, turn on connected cooling devices, symbol blinks, it means current temperature is decreasing to TARGET. 2. When CURRENT=TARGET, it will be in OFF status,turn off connected cooling devices. 3. The current temperature will be increasing, when temperature increased 1 C, it will turn ON connected cooling devices once again, then infinite loop. 20
Program countdown (CD) This timer has a countdown function that allows a connected electrical device to be turned on or off automatically after a set time has run down. The maximum countdown time is 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Push and hold SET/MODE,and push RND/+ or CD/repeatedly.Push and hold to toggle through more quickly. Switch to CD mode, 1.The display shows the symbols CD and PROG. The time sets to 0:00:00 2. Push the SET/MODE for approx. 3 seconds until the display shows SET, CD and PROG. In addition, ON or OFF blinks. 3. Push the RND/+ or CD/- button to select ON/OFF: ON: The timer turns on when the countdown starts and turns off when the countdown runs down. OFF: The timer turns off when the countdown starts and turns on when the countdown runs down. 4. Push the SET/MODE button. 5. The hour blinks,set the hour using RND/+ or CD/-. Push and hold either button to toggle through more quickly. 6. Push the SET/MODE button. 21
7. The minute blinks,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the minute. Push and hold either button to toggle through more quickly. 8. Push the SET/MODE button. 9. The second blinks,using RND/+ or CD/- to set the second. Push and hold either button to toggle through more quickly. 10.Push the SET/MODE button. The countdown time is now programmed. For example, we set CD time, 1h:36m:45s ON PROG CD To start the countdown, push CD/- button,cd symbol blinks. To exit the countdown, push the CD/- button again,cd symbol disappear. The preset countdown time is displayed again. Note: All other programs are deactivated during a countdown. A countdown cannot be started if the weekly timer is in Random mode/heat mode/cool mode. In clock mode, the CD run in background, switch to CD programs to check countdown status. 22
Program Random Use the random function to turn electrical devices on and off at different random times, for example for security reasons,you are not in home in holiday, You can use this random function to control your home lighting,prevent thief to go into your house. There are three different randome mode: Short random, RND symbol blinks Long random, L-RND symbol blinks Program random,prog and RND symbol blinks You can set program time frame in PROG 21 ON/OFF Push and hold SET/MODE,and push RND/+ or CD/repeatedly.Push and hold to toggle through more quickly. Switch to RANDOM mode: 1.The display shows the symbols RANDOM and PROG. 2. Using the same way to set program 21 ON/OFF time frame( see Page.12,Program switch ON&OFF times) For example, we set PROG 21 as below PROG 21 ON,18:00:00; PROG 21 OFF,24:00:00, SA-SU(Saturday to Sunday) After PROG 21 ON is set up, automatically switch to PROG 21 OFF. When the random function is activated, all other preset programs are deactivated. 23

Deactivate individual programs: 1. In clock mode, push and hold SET/MODE and push RND/+ or CD/- repeatly, switch to desired individual program. 2. Push SET/MODE and ON/OFF button at the same time.there will be X symbol appears on the display, individual program is now deactivated. 3. Repeat these steps to reactivate individual program. Deactivate all the programs: 1. In clock mode, push SET/MODE and ON/OFF button at the same time. 2. There will be X symbol appears on the display, all the programs are now deactivated. 3. Repeat these steps to reactivate all the programs. 24
Turn off/turn on This thermostat timer switch can be totally turned off by press ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to save batteries when you don t use it for a period. Repeat above operation to turn on this item once again. Please take out batteries when you don t use this item for long time. Troubleshooting Problem: The LCD display has frozen and the buttons don t respond when you push them. Solution: Push RESET button to reset the timer. Problem: The timer switch s settings are lost when it is not connected to the mains Solution: Change the batteries. Problem: The timer switch does not perform the programmed ON/OFF operations Solution: Make sure that the programmes are not deactivated. Activate the programmes Problem: The timer switch does not perform the programmed ON/OFF operations at certain times. Solution: Make sure that the random function is not activated. Make sure that no other programmes or countdown functions are activated at the same time. 25

Clearning and care When cleaning, the product must be disconnected from mains socket and electrical loads. Only use dry and soft cloth to clear the housing of the timer switch. Do not use abrasive or solvents. Disposal In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human General health and utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
