After graduating high school he came to Denmark in order to study. He is currently attending university in Denmark, and is working on a degree in medialogy. It is a broad field of study, that includes programming, UX design and image and audio processing. He also works part-time at a bar. He plans to spend another 5 years on his studies, and his career goal is to get a master s degree in interaction design. His native language is Lithuanian, and he speaks English and Russian as well. He has not served in the military. I am studying medialogy at university, and I aim to get a master s degree in design.
Q&A with CALLUM CALLUM answers questions about his life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Funny, friendly, open-minded. Describe your strong sides: I believe one of my strongest sides is my sense of humor. I m always able to make people laugh, people don t even take me seriously sometimes. Also I m friendly, meaning I always help people out. I smile a lot and generally I m an optimistic person. Describe your weak sides: I can get pretty competitive when simply playing sports, meaning I can get frustrated and angry when something s not going my way. A lot of times I underestimate myself, which sometimes lead to me thinking that I m not good at anything. What is your marital status? Single. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 8. Do you eat healthy? I try. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? All the time. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? I don t drink alcohol every week, maybe once a month. Then it is around 7 beers. Do you have any children? No. Which types of sport do you play or have played? Basketball, surfing. Which countries have you visited: Ireland, Denmark, Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Bulgaria. Which other types of sports are you interested in? Not any except for basketball and surfing. Religion: Agnostic. Describe the best holiday you have had: My summer holidays in Ireland. I would travel there every summer since I was 13 years old. My relatives live there and we always have so much fun. We travel around Ireland, my uncle taught me various activities like skating, surfing, playing drums. I would be very active there, that s why those are my favourite holidays. What do you like the most about your own country: Beautiful city centre of capital Vilnius, also lots of castles around whole Lithuania. Lots of forests and no big cities, that s what makes Lithuania unique. Personally, I also like the people and I describe them as being real. Since we re coming from a former soviet union country, we still don t have any first world problems in Lithuania, meaning we re pretty interesting people, but that is just what I think.
Q&A with CALLUM - continued CALLUM s dreams, favourites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? My drum teacher. Not only because he taught me how to play drums, but also lots of other wise things, like the relation between nature and music. Also my dad, who taught me what is it like to be a successful and loving man. My mom too, as she taught me what love is. What are your goals in life? Right now, finish my bachelor, get a master s degree, get a good job, work, find myself a girlfriend. Later in life I imagine myself living somewhere far away, somewhere abroad where it is calm and peaceful. coming back. That just brought me to tears and I couldn t stop crying for the remainder of the day until my mom came back. Proudest: Proving to my parents that I m able to live on my own abroad. Most dangerous: Riding a scooter without a license around the city. Greatest sorrow: Not pursuing acting. I loved acting in theatre when I was a child. What were your childhood dreams: To become a firefighter. Which values do you rank the highest? Honesty, leadership, bravery. Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? My uncle was a very active man. He would do so many different activities like kite-surfing, skating, playing drums and a guitar and many other instruments. He would teach all of these activities. Having such an active uncle made a huge impression on me. Which was your greatest experience or moment? When I learned playing drums, my teacher taught me a lot of wisdom, I still carry his knowledge till this day. Without it, I would just be a different kind of person. What is your favourite colour? All light colours because I believe I m a good person. What is your favourite animal? Bear because it is big and strong, but at the same time looks cute. What is your favourite kind of food? Pizza because it tastes amazing. What is your favourite kind of music? Reggae because I play it a lot with my drums and it is quite complicated music in some aspects. What is your favourite kind of car? Honda because they look nice. What is your favourite kind of pet? Cats and dogs equally because they have different, but nice traits. Happiest: When I got admitted to a university abroad. Funniest: Once me and my 5 friends where riding all on one scooter at night because we thought there was some kind of a ghost following us. Scariest: It was my first time in kindergarten. I was very sad because I didn t know where my mom was. There was this one big girl, she was a daughter of the teacher and I asked her when is my mom coming and she said that she is never What is your favourite time of year? Summer because it s nice and warm and you can spend time outside. What is your favourite book and/or author? George Orwell. Have no particular reason why I like him. What is your favourite movie and/or director? White Men Can t Jump. Because it s about basketball and is pretty simple and funny.
