So, after I graduated high school and had worked for a period of time I had gathered enough money to visit her for four weeks. Those four weeks were amazing, I saw so many things and experienced a whole new culture. It didn t hurt that I got to share it with one of the most beautiful and smart women that I have had the pleasure of meeting. We spoke of our relationship and decided that we wouldn t commit ourselves to each other due to both us going to college. I remain great friends with her to this day and I hope that we ll have the chance to meet again once we re done with our education.
Q&A with ANGLE - continued ANGLE s dreams, favourites and experiences What do you like the most about your own country: We have great food and a culture that really promotes happiness. There s a great healthcare system and people tend to look out for one another. The Danes are some of the most relaxed people on earth regarding religion, sexual orientation and politics. As long as nobody gets hurt, nobody really cares. We ve always been a very active people and education is something that the entire country values. Denmark is what America should be, a land of opportunities. Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? My mother is absolutely one of my greatest idols. She is one of the nicest, warmest and funniest people, I know. She has always supported me in the endeavours I ve commited myself to but she has never acted as a safety net. As a child my biggest idol was Jim Carrey. I had watched his movie Ace Ventura - When nature calls and I adored the comedic aspect of his character. As I grew older comedy helped me tackle some of my personal issues. As a young adult some of my heroes and heroines are: Emma Watson; She is simply a great asset to promote the cause for equality and she is a great example of a child-celebrity who remained grounded. Louis C.K: A comedian who is so honest that people crack up. He doesn t sugarcoat his emotions and he makes fun of subjects that others (In America) can rarely tackle. A funny man and an honest one. What are your goals in life? I ll be honest, my goals are simple. I d like to get a job that makes me capable of supporting a family while I can also keep being interested in the work itself. Other than that, I would love to travel some more and settle in either America or Australia for a couple of years. I am still young and I do not feel like I can fully answer this question. What were your childhood dreams: When I was a child I was deeply fascinated by fantasy novels, movies and adventure games. When people asked me what I wanted to become, I told them that I wanted to become an adventurer. Military was something that I found interesting as well and I still do. It was never the violence or guns that interested me, but the companionship and the idea of helping people in need. Which values do you rank the highest? Honesty, courage, kindness, creativity, fun. Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? I can t pin point the most important experience of my childhood, but I can tell about one of the most character defining experiences: When I was twelve years old I lost my sister due to an aneurysm and though it was a traumatising experience it also matured me a great deal. I felt like I needed to take care of my mother and my two remaining sisters. Now, whether this was a good or a bad thing isn t something that I can judge but I know that it made a huge impact on who I am today.
Q&A with ANGLE - continued ANGLE s dreams, favourites and experiences Which was your greatest experience or moment? Flying to America all on my own - this was the first time I fully funded something truly expensive and I found the entire affair daunting to say the least. Happiest: It s going to sound cliché, but I was truly awestruck when I saw the girl from America for the first time. Funniest: I don t know, I could probably find something that I found hilarious but it wouldn t be the funniest moment of my life. I don t think anyone could truly answer this question. Scariest: When I found out that my sister had had an aneurysm. Proudest: Graduating high school was obviously a big deal for me and I felt truly proud as I recieved my diploma. I also completed one of the toughest obstacle courses in the North. What is your favourite kind of food? No idea - I love a proper homecooked meal; chicken, meat, pasta, fish - depends on how it s made. What is your favourite kind of music: 80 s rock/cliché feel good songs - they make me happy and I love the beat of the 80 s. Journey is one of my favourite bands. What is your favourite kind of car: 67 Impala - beautiful car with a great engine. What is your favourite kind of pet: Cat - I love dogs but currently I wouldn t have the time for one and cats are somewhat easier to keep. Though, if I had time and resources it would probably be a dog (Corgi). What is your favourite time of year: Summer - I love the warmth and the activities in summer are always superiour to those in winter. I love being able to be outside without wearing seventeen layers of clothing. What is your favourite book and/or author: Flowers for Algernon - great book with a story that will leave you in tears. George R.R Martin and Tolkien are also some of my favourite authors due to their ability to create such immersive worlds. What is your favourite movie and/or director: Peter Jackson - Steven Spielberg - Quentin Tarantino. Most dangerous: I once foolishly thought I could swim across a canal in October, it turned out to be a bit more of a challenge that I originally had thought it to be. I made it but it was one of the only times in my life where I was legitimately scared for my own well-being. Greatest sorrow: When I saw my sister die. What is your favourite colour? Green - because it reminds me of summer and warm days. What is your favourite animal? Sloths - they re adorable little fellows who always look like they re having a good time.
