Actions from Previous Meetings Captured Action Responsible Due Comment/Status Polarsys (Gaël B) will take the lead on organizing the Papyrus IC logo process Create a public mailing for the Papyrus IC Send the charter proposed modifications to Mike M Gaël B Done. The Papyrus IC now has its own logo. Gaël B In progress. Decision was taken to use the "polarsysiwg@eclipse.org" mailing list. Migration from the "papyrussig@polarsys.org" mailing list to the "polarsys-iwg@eclipse.org" mailing list to be completed by May 1 st. has been sent to papyrussig@polarsys.org subscribers of the change Francis B In progress Website update to be done by the Eclipse Foundation. 3. General Papyrus IC Update 4.1 Update from Chairman - Papyrus IC at the TM Forum Live Conference in Nice o Presentation at the TM Forum Theater and booth presence in the Catalysts area o Currently working on defining joint TM Forum/Papyrus IC plan

3 o Also working with MEF, ONF, and other SDO s to define plan for common open source tooling - Development of Rhapsody alternative based on Papyrus-RT o We the up-coming release of Papyrus-RT 1.0, we now need to put a main focus the development of the Rhapsody alternative o Will work with the interested parties in the next weeks to define the plan - Papyrus for System Engineering o Gert Johansson (Saab/Combitech) is leading this aspect o Starting an evaluation of Papyrus SysML 1.4 with Saab/Combitech and Volvo Cars o Other organizations will also be involved, including Ericsson and Flanders make - Papyrus for Enterprise Architecture o Thomas Wiman (Adocus) is working on establishing the plan o Interested parties should contact him - Ericsson Modeling Days 2016 o Dates: Sept o Location: Stockholm/Kista (Sweden) o No registration fees o Preliminary schedule to be published before the end May o Will be followed by a Papyrus IC f2f meeting on Sept in Kista! 2 keynote presentations still to be selected! 26 regular presentations (30 min each) from 16 different organizations! 4 tutorials/workshops (90 min each) 4.2 Update from Papyrus IC members/participants - 4. Will be approved during Polarsys Steering Committee teleconference on Friday May 27 th o Summary of 2016 expenses! Co-sponsoring of the Welcome reception at MODELS 2016 conference with PolarSys! TM Forum Live Conference! Papyrus for Information Modeling Co-developed by EclipseSource and CEA! European promotion trip Met with 14 different organizations during the trip

4 Product Management Committee Stephan Thesing/Charles Rivet - Logo contest completed successfully o and the winner is - o The Papyrus IC now has its own logo! - Papyrus IC domain name o has been registered - Papyrus IC website o Content of website to be defined next o Basic line: main entry point for end-users and Papyrus based products o Plan in progress o First version to be launched in June? - Product assessment/testing o Approach to assess maturity/usability/stability of different products (platform, SE, RT, ) is being discussed o Idea is management of development for industry-strength products o Member organizations have committed to contribute to the definition of the overall QA/testing process and to the testing of Papyrus 2.0 (and Papyrus and other related components in general) - Upcoming June releases o Papyrus for Information Modeling (1.0?)! Product Owner: Philip Langer (EclipseSource)! This is a major milestone as it is the first Papyrus solution/product funded by the Papyrus IC! First official version of Papyrus customized and packaged for specific subset of UML! Should satisfy the basic needs of several user groups, including SDO s (TM Forum, MEF, ONF, ITU), space (Airbus Helicopters, Airbus Defence & Space, Spacebel), and many others o Papyrus 2.0! Product Owner: Sébastien Gérard (CEA)! Will be properly tested by Papyrus IC members before being officially endorsed as industry ready by the Papyrus IC! Progressing well, but hasn t reach the required level of stability yet! It is a top responsibility of the Papyrus IC to ensure industrial quality! o Papyrus-RT 1.0! Product Owner: Charles Rivet (Zeligsoft)! First official release of Papyrus-RT! Plan for 1.1 and 1.2 will be communicated in the near future o Work on xtuml and UML-RT is still ongoing

5 Architecture Committee Remi Schnekenburger/Reibert Arbring - Discussions around tools for testing o SWTBot: ~developer-based test developments o RCPTT: ~end user oriented - Papyrus Neon release train o Release candidate phase (bug fixing) o Late issues found on the GMF runtime (due to Eclipse platform update) and GMF tooling (lack of contributions) - Roadmap for Neon.1/2/3 & Oxygen o Stabilization and usability o Open question on means to track usability improvements - As a side note, I have to find an alternative as chairman for the architecture committee meetings, as I may be out of office any time soon, and also to manage vacation time. Research/Academia Committee Francis Bordeleau - Establishment of Papyrus IC Research/Academia has been delayed by other priorities - Now need to put main priority on it o Make sure that we don t miss key opportunities to introduce Papyrus for teaching next Fall o Properly prepare for key announcement at the MODELS Conference in Saint-Malo at the beginning of October - Working on involving new people in leadership roles o More to communicate on this later this week - Meeting invite for next teleconference will be sent this week - Plan for the 2016H2 will be announced before the end of June 5. Update on Papyrus for Information Modeling - Tasks done so far: o Set-up project structure and build o Add support for collaborative modeling with EMF Compare and EGit o Identified an initial sub-set of UML from example models o Restricted sub-set of Papyrus palette to this sub-set o Added new "New Child" menu with restricted sub-set o Removed several unnecessary perspectives, views, and wizards o Added stubs for cheat sheet and welcome page addition - These are the planned next steps: o Fix a few more glitches (e.g., hide empty wizard categories, etc.) o Clean-up plug-in structure (separate composable and non-composable parts) o Prepare code for being merged into Papyrus repo o Intensive testing and obtaining feedback --> list of additional improvements o Start with marketing-related tasks o Content for welcome page o Example models o Getting started tutorial o Cheat sheet o Work on further improvements from testing and feedback
