In our case catalogues are like buses, it is only a few weeks ago that we issued Catalogue 003 New Listings October 2017 and here we are again with Catalogue 004. Recent events have enabled us to focus on listing a lot of our back room stock, and so we shall be updating our website offerings on a weekly basis. This should also mean that we shall be issuing catalogues on a far more regular basis. This catalogue is the result of us recently obtaining a fantastic Warhammer 40,000 book collection. A very nice example of this collectible first edition first printing title, with only light marking to edges of text block. This is the limited edition of the Talon of Horus with black leather embossed covers, colour artwork and, wonderful end papers. Limited to 1500 copies that sold out on release. Slipcase likewise near fine with a couple of light creases to the faux leather covering where it has been handled. A very nice example of this collectible limited edition first printing title. This set is signed by the author to the limited edition page and is numbered 479/2434. The slipcase also has the chap book "Eclipse of Hope" also written by David Annadale included. 19 Fleming, Ian Diamonds are Forever Jonathan Cape 1964 First edition sixth printing Ex-Library hardback book. Has usual ex-library faults. Book is slightly loose with lean. Boards sharp and clean, with very minor bumps to lower edges, title silver gilt and silver gilt diamond to front perfect. Hinge tape to front and rear hinges. Remnant of library pocket to front paste down, Pencil price, withdrawn stamp and remnant of lending sheet to FEP verso. Couple of scattered spots to first few pages. Authors book list page slightly creased with 15mm closed tear to lower edge. Title page couple of light spots. Copyright page has Library and withdrawn stamp. Rest of text block reasonably clean, some pages have soft creases. Text block edges have expected toning. Some wonderful person has written a 15 line poem in biro to last rear blank FEP and pastedown. Jacket is reasonable, has general creasing, minor rubs to corners and losses to head and foot of spine. Front panel clean and bright, rear panel clean with a tiny hint of toning. Retains toned publishers price sticker, "18s. net" to front flap overlaying the original "16s. net" price. A ex-library example of this collectible title, it is what it is. We all wish it were better, but it is a still a original Cape printing in a reasonable jacket, and is priced accordingly.
