PHONE: (972) Steve Cuffle October 9, September 4, 2006 Mr. Steve Cuffle, age 51, of Princeton, Texas passed away September 4, 2006, in Sabine Pass, Texas. He was born October 9th, 1954, in West Terre Haute, Indiana, to John Cuffle and Anna Marie (Farkas) Cuffle. Steve married Florence Lillian (Bobbie) Reeves on October 29, 1977 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a proud Army Veteran and of the Methodist faith. He worked for Nortel in Richardson, Texas and enjoyed playing golf. Steve is survived by his wife, Bobbie Cuffle of Princeton; sons: Steven and wife Karen Cuffle of Nederland, Texas, James Cuffle of Princeton; daughter, Erin Cuffle of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Stevie and Zane; mother, Ann Cuffle of West Terre Haute, Indiana; 3 brothers, John Cuffle of Terre Haute, Indiana, Jim Cuffle of New Goshen, Indiana, and Joe Cuffle of West Terre Haute, Indiana and sister, Pat Burns, of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, John Cuffle; his brother, Richard Cuffle; and his sister, Pam Cuffle. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Memorials miss him daily BOB W WADLEY, DECEMBER 10, 2013 Steve always had a joke or something funny to say. It didn't matter who he was with when you passed him, he always acknowledged you. We all bowled together on the Nortel League. We were saddened about the news. Our hearts go out to his family - he loved so dearly. May God continue to comfort you all.
RICK & DEBBIE SEIFERT, SEPTEMBER 3, 2007 I knew Steve for over 13 to 14 years and was fortunate to known him. He was a very personable person and enjoyed bowling on the Nortel League with him. My husband knew him as well from Nortel, we both thought the world of him. We will miss him very much and wish the family well at this difficult time. God Bless KAREN AND DEAN DARDEN, SEPTEMBER 13, 2006 I haven't seen Steve in probably 10 years but I remember him well. My wife Janice and I played in the Nortel golf and bowling leagues with Steve. He was always the life of the party with his great sense of humor and genuine personality. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to the family. I hope you get comfort from all of the great memories he provided to you and all of these many friends. God bless. KEVIN FRANK, SEPTEMBER 13, 2006 Please know our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We pray the Lord will give you strength during this difficult time. JOHN AND LECYA JANAK, SEPTEMBER 9, 2006 I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was smart, funny and an all around great person to work with...someone I always trusted. I used to sing Elton John songs around him at work and he would get so mad at me (or act like it) and I would sing them more... Again I am so sorry for our loss...god Bless JOAN ROY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2006 We were so sorry to hear about Steve. He always had a smile and a great sense of humor. Our thoughts and prays are with you and your family. God Bless. Donald, Charlotte & Casey Giddens CHARLOTTE, DONALD & CASEY GIDDENS, SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 I worked with Steve at Nortel, and as others have indicated, he always did or said something that would make you laugh. From what little I new of Steve, I thought him to be a fun loving rascal. Reading these memorials has revealed how much more he was. While I am saddened that I did not have the chance to know him better, I am grateful for what I did know. I am also very happy to find
that his future is secure. I pray that the family finds peace in knowing that Christ WILL meet all your needs (and more). It may not feel like it (or be easy to believe) during a time of such great lost, but I KNOW it to be true. CATHERINE C. MCKINNEY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 Every morning I'd come into work and Steven would be sitting there. Off and on we would joke about the latest insanities of this world. He was a great guy to talk to. Will miss him. HENK TAS, SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 Always enjoyed a smoke and an occassional golf match with Steve. He was always smiling and in a good mood wiht a joke to tell. We will all miss him. DON J CATERISANO, SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 I didn't know Jim, but I am a friend of Steven's and you have me and my family's sincere condolences. That is such a tragedy and I know it will take time to get over, just keep your head up and know he is in a better place. God Bless you and your family and we'll keep you in our prayers. DANIELLE KATHLEEN SCALAFANI, SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 Steve humor and stories will truly be missed. He was a great person to work with. PAUL VILLALBA, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. God be with you all. BILLY, ROBIN, BILLY JR., & HEATHER HORTON, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 Steve was such a wonderful man, always smiling, and bringing humor during our staff meetings at work. My fondest memory of Steve is every time I would step on the elevator with him, he would pull out his wallet and show me his most recent picture of his grandbabies. He would smile, and you could see how proud he was of his family. He was such a good man with a gentle heart. We all will miss him terribly. May the Lord grant you comfort and strength during this most difficult time. Geri Sunderland GERI SUNDERLAND, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 Steve...First and always a loving family man. Your love was so great that it often extended to many outside of your own personal family. Only a few will
know how you & Bobbie took others under your roof; fed, clothed, and encouraged them at a critical time in their young lives...the rest will just simply sense a great loss. You never wore your faith on your sleeve. But what a man you were to "walk the walk!" SEAN BAKER & FAMILY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go to you and your family. SHAWNNA /COURTNEY PURSER, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 I have known Steve for at least 10 years now and will miss trying to get to work before him so I can get the good parking spot, it will not be the same anymore I dont even want to park there anymore. Sorry for your loss my prayers are with you and family. RANDY UNDERWOOD, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 My heart is broken for you all. Steve was a wonderful man, cheerful, funny, and always there to lend a hand whenever someone needed anything. There is nothing I can say to ensure that his legacy will go on, but to the family, You will see him again! I love you all, and continue to lift you up in prayer. MORGAN M MCINTIRE, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 I too remember Steve as always having a smile on his face and a joke to lighten the moment whether it needed it or not. Steve could be serious though he didn't want folks to know it. Worked with Steve through the years at Nortel when it was a fun place and when it isn't, but you couldn't tell it by Steve. One thing I admired most about Steve is that he didn't let things get him down. Steve is an unforgettable individual, his spirit and love of life were so apparent it left an indelible impression on everyone that he came in contact with. As I've met folks whom I've worked with in the past and got a moment to reminisce with, when Steve s name would come up, there was never a need to prod ones memory for Steve. This world is not a better place having lost Steve, but we all are better for having known Steve. In a personal moment of grief I was once told something that I've always remembered and would like to pass on to Steve's family and that is "the pain you feel is a reflection of your love".
Merciful Lord be with you in this time of loss. DAN GUNTHER, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 I've known and worked with Steve for years and remember the get-togethers at Woody's house. Steve was always there and would always have a prank or joke to pull on somebody. I remember one night Steve and Woody came to my house in the middle of the night and Steve came to the door and didn't know I had a Chow dog that stayed on the front porch. It was dark and he didn't see the dog when he stepped onto the porch. It was very dark and all he heard was a growling sound. Steve started yelling out loud for me to help him. I came out to see what was going on and Steve asked if the dog bites. I said probably but she wouldn't bite. I called the dog away and Steve ran back to the truck where Woody was waiting and laughing. We all laughed about it and that was one time Steve became the one to get the prank pulled on him. I'm sorry we haven't been in touch over the last several years and it is sad that times like these are the only times we seem to have for each other anymore. Steve will be missed dearly and our prayers are with the family. God Bless each and eveyone. LARRY WAYNE DUNHAM, SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 Steve was one of the firt people I meet when I came to Nortel. And over the years when ever we would run into each other he always made me smile. Steve was some one I will never forget, and will look upon his memory with a smile on my face, tear in my eye, and love in my heart. God's blessings upon his family and friends through this sad time. ANITA SHAW, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will all remember Steve as a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, and friend. His smile and sense of humor could light up a room and make everyone smile. We love you all and ask God's richest blessings on your family. KAY & GREG MCINTIRE, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 I always enjoyed being around Steve. He could always make you laugh even when you did not want to. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all
who knew him. My deepest sympathy goes out to his wife, children and grandchildren. He will live in their hearts forever. DANNA AMAYA, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 I'm the wife of Perry W. Sanders. Our husbands worked together for Nortel in Chicago and In Richardson. My husband passed away, uninexpectly last year. I don't remember meeting Steve but I do remember my husband speaking of him. I know there were many memories of those Nortel years; the work, stress, travels and the pranks they would pull on one another. I understand the grief and shock you and the family are feeling. May the Lord keep all of you in his tender care. Love, Denise S. Sanders DENISE S. SANDERS, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Our first memory of Steve is hanging with Woody and Swede in our yet-to-befinished kitchen in our home we were building and discussing the meaning of life and "how to solve world hunger". I remember his laughter, his kindess when we wanted "help moving the piano", and the many days/nights spent talking at the fence line we shared. Steve loved to build and had just finished his lovely spa area. He will hold--along with his wonderful family--a place in our family's heart forever. JANE/BRUCE BIXLER, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 You are all in our thoughts and prayers. MARK & SANDY DICKERSON, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Steve was a great guy to work with and I always enjoyed his company. I am sorry for your loss MARK R BEEN, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Here comes trouble - that was Steve's favorite saying when I went to smoke at work. I am not alone when I say - We will miss you terribly! KAREN D. MCCARTNEY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 I did not know Mr. Cuffle very well, he always had a smile on his face and said hello, but I do know and work with his wife (and love her dearly) and my kids went to school with their kids. I do know that they are a very sweet and God loving family. He will be missed in the Community.
LANA BARCH, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 I want to seen my prayers to the family. Steve was a great guy and will be missed by all. Blessings & prayers for everymore in your lost. Amen. ANTHONY L. DRAKE, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 My deepest sadness for you loss PAUL EDWARD COLEMAN, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Steve's dynamic smile, conversations about our grandchildren and his voice in the halls throughout the day. RUSSELL SPARKS, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 I am so sorry for your loss. He was always fun to be around and a great coworker. We will miss him. MICHAEL SALBADOR, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Cuffle...a man God made to love and enjoy life with. Steve had a way of turning lemon into lemonade. JB JACKSON, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Ms. Cuffle My deepest regards, Lean on the Lord and he will help you get thru the rough days ahead. Just remember we love you and will be here for you and your family. Love Always, Karen Wilson and Ben Wilson KAREN WILSON, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Good guy...it's a tragedy and he'll be missed. DAVID PATERSON, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 I trained with Steve many times in Raleigh. Always enjoyed talking to him. BOB L BENDA, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 First met Steve at Western Union on LaSalle in Chicago several years ago if memory serves. Collaborated over the years with Steve on several technical issues. Going to miss him as a close friend as well as a fellow tacster. ALLISTER N. WOLOWIDNYK, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006 Steve was a wonderful friend, he was always there with a smile when it was needed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. JOHN DAVID ZUKOSKY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006
His style of humor could break even the most tense of moments. It's been a several years since I worked with him but I had respect for him both as a coworker and friend.
