9 MOWGLI I like being a bear! Role: The jungle s favorite man cub, Mowgli was raised by a family of wolves and lives in the jungle with his animal friends. Likes: Hanging out in the jungle, being a bear. Dislikes: Leaving his friends. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Climbing banana trees with his buddy Baloo. Unique Skills: He can swing from a vine, growl like a bear, eat bananas all day, and he personally knows all the animals in the jungle.
10 BAGHEERA We ve got a long journey ahead of us! Role: This wise panther keeps an eye on everyone in Mowgli s jungle home, but sometimes he wishes he didn t have to be the parent all the time. Likes: Not having to worry about man cubs. Dislikes: Worrying about man cubs. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Make sure everything is calm and happy in the jungle. Unique Skills: He is wise, he makes sure everything is all right in the jungle. He carefully looks after Mowgli even though man cubs can be such a bother.
11 KING LOUIE Have a banana! Role: He calls himself the King of the Jungle and he leads his army of monkeys in a lot of monkeying around! Likes: Eating bananas and having a swingin good time. Dislikes: Not knowing the secret of man s red flower fire. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Have a swingin good time! Unique Skills: He can lead his army of monkeys in a swingin song, but he d rather be human just like Mowgli.
12 BALOO Now give me a big bear growl! Role: Big, gray and cuddly, Baloo is Mowgli s best friend and one easygoing bear! Likes: Sleeping, eating, doing nothing, being lazy. Dislikes: Not playing, not eating, working, anyone who might hurt Mowgli. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Floating down the river on a beautiful day with nothing to do. Unique Skills: Sleeping in the sun, eating whatever and whenever he likes, and hanging out in the jungle with his li l buddy Mowgli. Baloo is one happy and positive bear!
13 KAA It s a man cub a delicious man cub! Role: He s a pesky python who tries hard to trick his prey into trusssting him, but he usually winds up twisted in his own coils. Likes: Delicious man cubs, Sneaking up on his prey. Dislikes: Losing his dinner. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Enjoy a really good meal which doesn t happen very often. Unique Skills: Kaa can charm you with his evil stare or trap you in his clever coils, but try as he might, Kaa is just not as scary as he would like to be.
14 SHERE KHAN Could it be possible that you don t know who I am? Role: Everyone in the jungle fears Shere Khan. The very mention of his name scares every jungle citizen. Likes: Being feared by the other animals of the jungle. Dislikes: Being bored, man cubs, man s red flower fire. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Lurk around and frighten everyone. Unique Skills: He s ferocious and cunning and feared by all the other jungle animals.
15 THE ELEPHANTS Hup, 2, 3, 4 keep it up, 2, 3, 4! THE ELEPHANT DAWN PATROL Role: Colonel Hathi s marching elephant herd search for Mowgli when he is missing. Likes: Grazing, resting. Dislikes: Marching, drilling. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: March. Unique Skills: Giving the Elephant Call, rescuing man cubs, unafraid of Shere Khan. You forgot to say HALT! BABY ELEPHANT Role: The junior version of his father, Colonel Hathi, and one of Mowgli s favorite jungle friends. Likes: Being just like his father. Dislikes: Being the last elephant. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: March. Unique Skills: Marching, drilling, coaching Mowgli. Remember an elephant never forgets! COLONEL HATHI Role: He s the leader of the Elephant Herd Dawn Patrol and a member of Her Majesty s Fifth Pachyderm Brigade. Likes: Drilling his herd, discipline. Dislikes: Sloppy ranks, forgetting. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: March. Unique Skills: He has an excellent service record, he enjoys drilling his elephants in the proper military style, but his memory isn t very good.
16 THE VULTURES That s What Friends Are For! Role: Buzzy, Dizzy, Ziggy & Flaps four feathered fowls who quickly become wholehearted friends to Mowgli right when he needs a true friend. Likes: Singing, being Mowgli s friend. Dislikes: Shere Khan, being bored. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Singing together. Unique Skills: When they finally put their heads together and sing, they re the jungle s first feathered barbershop quartet! THE WOLVES The man cub is like my own son. Role: Rama and his family of wolves adopt young Mowgli and raise him as if he were one of their own pups. Likes: Their brother Mowgli, being a family. Dislikes: Shere Khan. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Howl at the moon. Unique Skills: Raising man cubs, keeping watch over the jungle especially for Shere Khan.
17 THE GIRL I must go to fetch the water Role: This little lass, who lives in the man village, shyly flirts with Mowgli as she fetches water from the river. Likes: Singing, a handsome husband. Dislikes: Fetching water. Favorite Thing To Do In The Jungle: Flirt with the cute man cub at the river. Unique Skills: She has a beautiful singing voice; by singing a simple song, she can charm Mowgli into carrying her water for her.
