As we embark together upon another season bringing the best of Broadway to audiences on Broad Street, we welcome the highly-anticipated sequel to The Phantom of the Opera Andrew Lloyd Webber s Love Never Dies for its first-ever Philadelphia appearance! With a lush score and absolutely mesmerizing staging this sequel is a gift to theatergoers, inviting us to journey once more with The Phantom and his protégé Christine Daaé into their private world of passion and mystery. The setting may have changed, but the drama, haunting melodies, and unease remain. All this talk about The Phantom returning is a little spooky but spooky is in season right before Halloween. Come back later this month for more frights with The Philadelphia Orchestra s Organ and Orchestra Halloween an evening of evocative orchestral music and the Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ the largest mechanical-action concert hall organ in the country. Lie on the stage and experience the organ vibrations, plus don t forget to dress up in your best Halloween costume! And to our valued guests: we want your experience on our Cultural Campus to be the best it can be. As such, this summer, we embarked upon the first of a two-phase seat replacement project to improve your comfort within our beloved Academy of Music. Take a look around some of you may be sitting in brand new seats! This undertaking would not be possible without key Kimmel Center staff, several Philadelphia foundations, generous individual patrons, and an array of talented vendors. The vision of the Kimmel Center is to transform lives daily through the arts. We want every person who walks through the doors of one of our 9 performance venues this season to feel at home. Make memories with us this year! Bring a friend, bring a group. #ArtHappensHere, so be a part of it with us. Warmly, 2
