2 Special thanks to our Jury Members: John Carlson served as Vice President and Chief Colorist at Monaco Labs and Video from He currently teaches in the Motion Picture Department, Academy of Art University and Cinema Department at City College of San Francisco (Experimental Filmmaking and Cinematography & Lighting). He was granted Fellowship in Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and he is the winner of 2 Emmies. Lidia Szajko taught in the Cinema Department at CCSF from , and served as Chair from Her film work has appeared on the acclaimed national PBS series Independent Lens, and has played at festivals around the globe. Notable awards include the Golden Gate Award for Best Bay Area Documentary from the San Francisco International Film Festival and the Isabella Liddell Art Award for Most Promising Woman Filmmakers at the Ann Arbor FIlm Festival. She is also the co-founder of Critical Images, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to the creation and promotion of social issue media. Gary Meyer got his start programming the daily grindhouse double feature as a college student in North Beach. In 1976, he co-founded Landmark Theaters, which became the premiere art-house cinema chain in North America with locations from coast-to-coast. Beginning in 2007 he was the co-director of the prestigious Telluride Film Festival, and in 2014 he launched the Eat Drink Films website and festival. He continues to write film reviews, and serves as an Industry Advisor to the Cinema Department at CCSF. Vintage Ride: Tres Flores Loay Dahbour (CINE 126, Documentary 12 min.) Dr. Dan the Music Man Rodrigo Castillo (CINE 24, Documentary, 3 min.) This short film follows Dr. Dan Roth and his wife, Karen Ashely-Roth, as they tell the story of how they first met.

Writer s Block Dario Fernandez (CINE 24, Drama, 3 min) Stevie a well off and talented musician develops a case of writers block. Takes a walk to find himself and meets a mysterious street performer that might give him the inspiration he s lost. Loss, Deal Alma Herrera-Pazmiño (CINE 56, Drama, 6 min.) Mila struggles to find the way to release her grief of losing her best friend and her true love. Caiden Aimee Hoffman (CINE 24, 3 min.) Most limitations come from within us. This short captures a brief glimpse into the mind of young man on his journey to find himself creatively. Questioning his own potential and the limitations created by society, he ponders his motivations and his choice to pursue his craft. The Artist s Model Nandiya Attiya (CINE 25, Comedy, 3 min.) The student artist has a moment to sit and sketch his subject. An unexpected subject. Local Queen David Silva (CINE 24/25, 4 min.) After meeting on the set of TV s Wives With Knives, a Bay Area drag performer became a muse for David Silva.
