2 IN FEW WORDS When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn t understand life. John Lennon. The action of 2steps2thedoor, the second part of a triptych which began with Mooooooooonsters (Mooooooooonstres), takes place around a central element on stage : a door in a wall. Here, the central character confronts the idea of movement, abandoning a known and reassuring space in order to face the much fantasized unknown : The other side of the wall. Even though there s a window in the wall, what one sees beyond that opening is very much different from what lies beyond the door! The wall had a door in it. I never saw it before! Though I haven t lost my bearings altogether, the northern light that enters here is faint and plays tricks with the shadows, creating untold illusions. It s perhaps because of that that I never noticed the door. I only saw the window, the window from which I contemplate the dreamt-of lives I imagine living. From which, I watch as well the streaming rain, the rays of sunlight speckled with dust and also airplanes, stoplights, firemen, dogs, street demonstrations, the mountains, the sea, the countryside how I love the countryside! parades, robbers, policemen, the president passing by All in all, looking out at what is real and unreal. But getting back to the door There it is. I can t pretend it s not there. I m going to have to open it. But when? How? To go where? To become who? and how do I get ready?

3 ANOTHER PLAY WITHOUT TEXT Music or sound runs practically throughout the duration of the play and replaces the spoken word. Once more, Laurent Fraunié speaks to the audience outside the codes of language, preferring for this triptych the codes of the image. The object diverted from its original purpose is as always very present. The techniques used are simple, aiming to unleash life in the most everyday of objects. Oscillating between the symbolic and a sometimes trivial, everyday treatment. Making theater with very little. Attempting to bring a dream to life with next to nothing. Trusting in the possibility of capital Magic from small-case objects.

6 LAURENT FRAUNIÉ CONCEPTION AND PERFORMANCE He spent five years working for the Philippe Genty Company and then joined Nada Theatre for several shows : Marie Stuart, Ubu, Peer Gynt, Partir... In 2005, he founded the Label Brut collective with Harry Holtzman and Babette Masson. Together, they created Dieu, Sel et Sable, Kouette Kabaret, La nuit du 21 juin... After directing L enfer presented at the Avignon Festival in 2009 and the Charleville Festival also in 2009, he returned to acting in the collective s Hector ou comment faire un monstre in In 2012, he created Mooooooooonstres and has performed it since then for the Charleville Festival in 2012, Avignon Festival in 2013, all over France and abroad (Estonia, Canada, Israel, Lithuania, Iran...). Simultaneously, he works with Agnès Debord for Au Cul du Loup Company, creating theater with sounding objects, with Patrice Douchet and the Theatre de la Tête Noire, he leads workshops for teenagers with Tamerantong Company and more recently he performs for La Bande Passante Company with the show Cockpit Cuisine. GRÉGOIRE FAUCHEUX SET DESIGNER After studying architecture, Grégoire Faucheux studied at the ENSATT in Lyon from 2003 to Since 2006, he has collaborated with Anne-Margrit Leclerc, Cie du Jarnisy (in 2015 Philoctète by Pierre-Yves Chapalain with Eric Petitjean). He works with the choreographer Eric Minh Cuong Castaing, Shonen (Feu glace, Kaiju, School of Moon for January 2016 at the National Ballet of Marseille) with Olivier Coulon Jablonka, Moukden theater (Paris nous appartient in March 2016 at the Monfort Theatre) Olivier Letellier (Me taire by Sylvain Levey, February 2016 at the National Theater of Chaillot) and Jonathan Pontier (Dans ma chambre by Samuel Gallet, March 2016 at the Nest in Thionville).
