Číslo projektu: CZ.1.07/1.5.00/ Název projektu: Inovace a individualizace výuky Autor: Mgr. Libuše Matulová Název materiálu: Cultural Life Označení materiálu: VY_32_INOVACE_MAT32 Datum vytvoření: Vzdělávací oblast: Konverzační okruhy Ročník: první až čtvrtý Název školy: BEZPEČNOSTNĚ PRÁVNÍ AKADEMIE BRNO, s.r.o., střední škola
Anotace Student se naučí hovořit na téma divadlo, hudba, literatura, film aj. druhy umění.
Metodické pokyny Lze použít ve výuce konverzace ale i v běžných hodinách anglického jazyka při každodenních tématech.
Going to the cinema I like going to the cinema. If it is a 3-D film you have to wear special glasses to enjoy the 3-dimension effect. Some people love eating pop-corn while watching a film. I hate it as it makes noise. There are multiplex cinemas in cities where several films are played at a time and you can choose which you want to go to.
What type of movies? I like watching comedies but my brother prefers watching thrillers. When I was a little child I enjoyed watching fairly tales but today I like documentaries because they are from real life. I don t like horror movies because I don t like to be scared.
Going to the theatre There are several theatres in Brno. I have been to most of them but favourite is Mahen Theatre. Its historical building was illuminated with electric bulbs by Thomas Alva Edison as the first theatre in central Europe. Mahen Theatre I like going to musicals. I saw. two years ago and just loved it. It was the best show I have ever seen. You can also see balets, operas, pantomimes in a theatre. I have never been to a musical in London or New York but I hope I will. It is my dream to see and hear famous actors live on stage.
Concerts, galleries, museums, books Last year I went to a concert to hear. He/she was just brilliant. I enjoyed every minute of it. The atmosphere was excellent. It was the best music I have ever heard. I don t like going to galleries and museums but my brother does. My sister enjoys reading books. I don t but I like buying and reading magazines which I can read while travelling on a bus or tram.
Favourite actors/actresses My favourite actor is.. He is a comedy actor and I admire him because he acts well and makes me laugh. I have seen him in lots of films. I would like to meet him some day. He is my sister s idol. When I first saw him in a movie I was fascinated. He was so convincing in his role. He has won an Oscar. He won it a few years ago for his acting in the film
Television, internet, radio My parents like spending time watching TV. I can t understand it and find it boring. If I want to see a film, I get it on DVD or just download it in my computer if it is free. I hardly ever listen to the radio. I use my MP3 with ear-phones which I put on when I travel by bus. I often watch sports programmes on television because I am intereste in sport. I love following sport matches in the Olympic Games and reading about sport stars.
Questions Do you play a musical instrument? Have you been to the theatre with the school? Where can you go to see art? How different is watching a film at home and at the cinema? Do you like listening to classical music? Does anybody in your family listen to it?
Answers Yes, I do. I play the guitar/the violin/the piano. Yes, we have. In year 2 we were at Mahen Theatre to see a play by William Shakespeare. I can go to a gallery to see art. I like paintings and photography. The cinema has large screen so a film is more impressive at the cinema than on TV at home. No, I don t. I prefer listening to pop-music. Yes, my mum does. She likes listening to Mozart.
