4 Soprano, Ashley Kerr, Praised for her plush and seductive tone, soprano Ashley Kerr is a rapidly emerging artist who is garnering much attention from opera companies across the country. Her most recent performances include role debuts of both Mimì and Musetta in La Bohème and the title role in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah. Ms. Kerr recently received rave reviews for her performances of Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro with Salt Marsh Opera and for Myrrhine in Fort Worth Opera s production of Lysistrata. In the fall of 2014, she made her Lincoln Center debut in a concert with the Opera Orchestra of New York under the baton of Maestro Eve Queler at Alice Tully Hall. Upcoming engagements include debuts with Virginia Opera and the Caramoor Music Festival. Ms. Kerr has received awards from various competitions including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Giulio Gari Foundataion and the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation. In 2014, Ms. Kerr was awarded third prize in the Violetta DuPont Vocal Competition presented by Opera at Florham. Bass-Baritone, Matthew Burns, declared as having a beautiful bass-baritone voice by the New York Times, Matthew Burns is a dynamic performer known for his unique portrayals of opera s most acclaimed bass-baritone roles spanning the repertoire from dramatic roles to buffo roles, and everything in between. Career highlights include Paolo in Schreker s Die Gezeichneten with Los Angeles Opera; Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Florida Grand Opera; Leporello in Don Giovanni with Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Cleveland, and Opera Omaha; Pish-Tush in The Mikado, Lord Gualtiero Valton in I puritani, and Titta in Martín y Soler s Una cosa rara with Opera Theatre St. Louis; and a number of leading roles with Wolf Trap Opera and Bard SummerScape Festival.
5 Tenor, Hak Soo Kim is a graduate of the Domingo- Thornton Young Artist Program at Los Angeles Opera. Rapidly garnering high remarks both in Europe and America for his interpretation of the Bel Canto repertoire, Mr. Kim made his European debut as Conte Libenskof in Il Viaggio a Reims at the Festival Giovane of Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, where he collaborated with Maestro Alberto Zedda. Count Almaviva is one of his favorite roles, having performed at Sarasota Opera this past season as well as at Los Angeles Opera, Opera Southwest and Opera New Jersey. Last year, he made notable debuts in Verdi roles as well, singing the role of Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto and Edoardo di Sanval in Un Giorno di Regno, of which he worldpremiered the critical edition, in collaboration with Dr. Francesco Izzo at American Institute for Verdi Studies. In addition, he sang the role of Uriel in Haydn s Die Schöpfung with Los Angeles Master Chorale under Maestro Grant Gershon. As a concert artist, he appeared in numerous concert venues such as Hollywood Bowl and Ravinia Festival under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel, James Conlon and Plácido Domingo. 6 Pianist David Maiullo, described by Opera News magazine as a pianist of sentiment, discretion and style, is an avid accompanist/coach in the New York City metropolitan area. He is Chairman of the Board and Music Director of the BRAVO Alliance of Performing Artists, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. His performances of over 3,500 recitals and programs have led him to the stages of prominent US concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall and Merkin Concert Hall, as well as venues in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Japan. He was awarded a scholarship as accompanist to the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and has been a recipient of a fellowship with Opera-Music Theater International with Jerome Hines. Mr. Maiullo had the distinct honor of performing the European premiere of Gian Carlo Menotti s Mass for its composer in Spoleto with the Ars Musica Chorale, and he has also performed in the prestigious Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. He held the position of chorus master for the New Jersey State Opera for eight seasons and he continues to be a lecturer and pianist for operalogues and concerts. Of his role as a collaborative pianist, New York Times critic Barnard Holland wrote, Mr. Maiullo s playing was sensitive and effective. Some of the notable singers with whom Mr. Maiullo has collaborated include Mario Bertolino, Dominick Cossa, Gilda Cruz-Romo, Sandra Darling, Mark Delavan, Enrico DiGuiseppe, Marta Eggerth-Kiepura, Jerome Hines, Kim Josephson, Vahan Khanzadian, Teresa Kubiak, Anthony Laciura, Edward Pierson III, Paul Plishka, Olga Ramanko, Joan Sena-Grande, Kevin Short and Margarita Zambrana. Mr. Maiullo has served as the accompanist for the Gerda Lissner Foundation, the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation, Career Bridges, the Altamura/Caruso competition and Opera at Florham. Mr. Maiullo is also Music Director of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes. He holds positions on the faculty of Nyack College (where he is Director of the Opera Workshop), New Jersey City University, and he is the coach/accompanist of the musical theater class at the Julliard School of Music. For the last six years, Mr. Maiullo has served as the Music Director of Opera Fest NJ and Opera Fest Italia in Tolentino, Italy.
7 David Wroe is Music Director of the New Jersey Festival Orchestra, Opera at Florham, principal Conductor at Festival of the Voice in New York, and was a regular conductor at New York City Opera. In 2014, he lead Brown University Symphony Orchestra as its Interim Music Director. Maestro Wroe had a long association with New York City Opera, leading numerous productions, and performing and assisting in over 100 presentations. Orchestras conducted include the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, L Orchestre National de Lille, Symphony Nova Scotia, New Jersey Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Santa Fe Symphony, New York City Ballet, L Ensemble de Paris, Neue Brandenberg Symphony, L Ensemble de Basse-Normandie, L Orchestra Lamoureux with cellist Mstislav Rostropovitch, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Das Loh-Orchester Sondershausen, Philharmonische Orchester der Stadt Heidelberg, Delaware, Harrisburg, Huntsville, De Moines Symphonys, and numerous tours of Western Austria with Vorarlberg Symphony and at the Bregenz Frühlings Festival. Maestro Wroe is a preferred conductor in Asia, having directed the Macau Symphony, Shenzhen Symphony, Wuhan Symphony, Guiyang Symphony, Hang Zhou Symphony, Taipei Symphony Orchestra and Taiwan National Symphony marked Maestro Wroe s recording debuts with L Orchestre National de Lille on the TransArt label with pianist Bruno Fontaine, and broadcast recordings, through Austrian Broadcasting Authority (ORF), with the Vorarlberg Symphony. In addition to his residency at New York City Opera from , Maestro Wroe served as Principal Guest Conductor at the City Opera of Heidelberg, conducting much of the major operatic repertoire there. He has served as the Principal Conductor at Opera Delaware, and initiated the Opera in Concert series with the NJ Festival Orchestra. He has been a Judge for the Metropolitan Opera National Council, New Jersey Regional Auditions. Early in his career he was Associate Conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, leading the orchestra in Tanglewood and in Boston s famed Symphony Hall, in addition to touring Europe with the Boston Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players. Awards are numerous, including the Seiji Ozawa Fellowship at Tanglewood, a citation in United States Congress for community commitment, and finalist in the 1 st Bernstein International Conducting Competition. Maestro Wroe has a BMus from Manchester University (England), a MM from Northwestern (Chicago), and was a student of Gustav Meier and Victor Yamposky.
