All concerts are free and open to the public. The Green River Community Choir, under the direction of Marlys Ciscar, begins the Spring Concert Series at 7:30 p.m. on Thurs., April 28. The concert takes place in the Green River Center s John Wesley Powell Auditorium. Candace Dove accompanies the Green River Community Choir. The Sax, Flute and Jazz Concert will be presented at 7 p.m. Tues., May 3 in the WWCC Theatre. It will include the Six Digits Saxophone Ensemble and Jazz Band, both directed by Dr. Martha Holloway, and the Western Wyoming Winds Flute Ensemble, directed by Tammy Austin. Six Digits will start the concert with Khatchaturian s Sabre Dance, Andante by Bozza, and The Muppet Show Theme by Jim Henson and Sam Pottle. The WWCC Jazz Band s rhythm section will join Six Digits on The Muppet show Theme. The Western Wyoming Winds will continue with Vivaldi s Spring from The Four Seasons, Telemann s Konzert, Amazing Grace, and String Quartet in F Major by Dvorak. The Jazz Band will perform In the Mood, Gershwin s I Got Rhythm, Everything in its Right Place by Radiohead, Channel One Suite, and Hey Pachuco. Members of the Six Digits Saxophone Ensemble are Aryk Anderson on soprano and alto, Candace Gregory on alto, Amber Barker on alto, John Moore on alto, Cierra Bolinder on tenor, Taylor Golightly on tenor, and Brandon Fields on baritone. Members of the Western Wyoming Winds Flute Ensemble are Tammy Austin, Linda Kulp, Dawn Lund, and Lynette Nelson. WWCC Jazz Band members are Candace Gregory, Amber Barker, Aryk Anderson, and John Moore on alto saxophone; Brandon Fields, Cierra Bolinder, and Taylor Golightly on tenor saxophone; Linda Kulp on baritone saxophone; Christy Lev, Ceira Lee, Whitley Pelton, and Luke Fillingim on trumpet; Jared Fillingim, Casey Terrell, Landry Jones, and Porter Williams on trombone; Jared Menlove on keyboard and Joe Barbuto on piano and vibraphone; Nick Gomez and Chris Archuleta on guitar; Logan Arey on bass; Nathan Creager, Cody Wilkinson, and Austin Smith on drums.

2 Page 2 of 6 The Student Recital is set for 7 p.m., Wed., May 4 in the WWCC Theatre. The recital features classical solos for voice and instruments such as piano, alto and tenor saxophone, trombone, and tuba. Soloists are from the studios of Nicole Nelson, voice; Jerrid Washburn, saxophone; Phil Chambers, brass; Lynette Nelson, piano; Martha Holloway, piano; and Nick Gomez, guitar. The a cappella group 88 mph, under the direction of Nicole Nelson, will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thurs., May 5 in the WWCC Theatre. The men s a cappella group arranges its own music. Their selections include Backstreet Boys Larger than Life, Lady Gaga s Bad Romance, Kenny Loggins Footloose, Linkin Park s What I ve Done, Bon Jovi s Livin on a Prayer, Plain White T s Rhythm of Love, and First Time I Saw You which is an original by Jared Fillingim, a member of 88 mph. Members of 88 mph are Colter Christensen, Jeremy Egan, Jared Fillingim, Tristan Fishman, Taylor Golightly, James Oswald, and Taylor Smith. The Symphonic Band, directed by Troy Thompson, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Mon., May 9 in the WWCC Theatre. Selections include William Tell Overture, Song for Lyndsay, Toccata, Lux Aurumque (Light and Gold), Tarantella from Incidental Suite, Symphony No. 4 for Winds and Percussion, and The Stars and Stripes Forever. Members of the Symphonic Band include flutes Chezney Leisch, Tammy Austin, Dawn Lund, and Colleen Beutel; oboe Jennifer Kessler; clarinets Cierra Bolinder, Janelle Parton, Scott Jackson, and Linda Kulp; bass clarinet Becky Creager; alto saxophones Michael Peterson, Maycee Spence, John Moore, and Mikayla Peterson; tenor saxophone Jeannie Nordwall; baritone saxophone Jordan Blazovich; trumpets Christy Lev, Kylee Lund, Karlene Atkinson, Andrew Arambel, and Jay March; French horns Aidan Tarufelli and Jessica Fahlsing; trombones Jared March and Mo Miller; euphoniums Joanna Spencer and Savanna Bayless; tubas Kolby Williams, Bryan Schutz, Jackson Burdo, and Porter Williams; and percussion Jessica Ramsey and Megan Stout. The Vocal Ensembles Concert, scheduled for 7 p.m. Tues., May 10 in the WWCC Theatre, will feature the Women s Vocal Ensemble and Mixed Vocal Ensemble. Both ensembles are directed by Nicole Nelson and accompanied by Christy Lev. The Women s Ensemble will perform You Don t Own Me, Rockin Robin, Summertime, Psalm 100, and Dome Epais. The Mixed Ensemble will present Route 66, Monday Monday, Shut De Door, Heart and Soul, and Grace. The Rock Springs Community Choir, directed by Chris Jacobsen, will conclude the Spring Concert Series with a choral concert at 7 p.m. Thurs., May 12 in the WWCC Theatre. Christy Lev accompanies the Rock Springs Community Choir. The concert will include The Joint is Jumpin from the musical Ain t Misbehavin, I Once had a Dream, Songs of the Wizard, Home to Stay, Summertime from the musical Porgy and Bess, Oye la Musica (Hear the Music), I Dream a World, Johnny One Note from the musical Babes in Arms, You Made me Love You, The Blessing, and Swingin with the Saints. Cory Zampedri will play drums and percussion with several of the pieces. Members of the Rock Springs Community Choir include sopranos Jan St. Clair, Tracie Soller, Kelsey McGuire, Harriet Johnson, Diana Rauzi, Lindy Edwards, Rosie Bunning, Monali Peters, Ingrid Wilson, Vi Gessner, Jennie Frankus, Emily Moyer, Christine Beatty, Cynthia Hovander, Katie Johnsen, Coleen Bernal, Charlotte Saner, Brenda Partain, Julie Krebs, Diana Ainscough, Erica Davis, and Becky Morrison.
