1 Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival Marya Martin, Artistic Director 29th Season July 26 August 19, 2012
2 dear friends, While you ve been putting together your summer plans, we have been busy preparing one of the best festivals yet, and we look forward to sharing it with you! This season, we are delighted to welcome back many of the stellar artists who ve graced us in the past, along with some exciting newcomers who are sure to become new favorites of the BCMF family. As always, our programs will offer a diverse blend of beloved classics and contemporary works for your listening pleasure. From established masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, Brahms and Dvořák to lesser-heard gems by Hugo Wolf and Ludwig Thuille and recent works by Carl Vine, Gerard Beljon, and Paul Brantley, there s something for every taste. Another exciting aspect of the 2012 season is the debut of our very own record label, BCMF Records! In addition to first releases of festival premieres, the new label will feature some performances from the summer so you can keep the BCMF spirit going all year long. You may purchase these recordings in this brochure, on our website and at all major digital and retail outlets. Although we bring you some of the biggest names in the music world, we are a small organization which would be unable to offer these exceptional performances without the loyal support of music lovers like you. I hope you will consider sending a tax-deductible contribution along with your ticket order to help us ensure that BCMF remains a special part of summer on the East End. On behalf of everyone who works throughout the year to organize our festival, thank you. We can t think of a better way to spend the summer than sharing the world s great music with friends! 2012 artists Flute Marya Martin Oboe John Snow Clarinet Sarah Beaty Romie de Guise-Langlois Bassoon Seth Baer Peter Kolkay Horn Stewart Rose Violin Benjamin Beilman Aaron Boyd Jonathan Crow Stefan Jackiw Ani Kavafian Erin Keefe Jessica Lee Joseph Lin Arnaud Sussmann Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu Viola Nicholas Cords Hsin-Yun Huang Richard O Neill Cynthia Phelps Jonathan Vinocour Cello Edward Arron Carter Brey Nicholas Canellakis Dane Johansen Michael Nicolas Fred Sherry Peter Stumpf Double Bass Jeffrey Beecher Donald Palma Piano Alessio Bax Pedja Muzijevic Jeewon Park Gilles Vonsattel Orion Weiss Harpsichord Paolo Bordignon Voice David Pittsinger Brooklyn Rider Colin Jacobsen, violin Johnny Gandelsman, violin Nicholas Cords, viola Eric Jacobsen, cello With warm regards, Marya Martin Founder and Artistic Director 2 3
