1 This rider is to be attached and made part of the contract dated: between Antonio Sanchez (hereinafter referred to as ARTIST ) and (hereinafter referred to as PURCHASER ). PLEASE READ THIS RIDER CAREFULLY. It contains a description of certain equipment requirements and working conditions essential to the ARTIST and necessary for the highest quality performance. If you have any questions about this rider, or if there are certain terms or conditions regarding this rider or the attached contract which you anticipate having trouble arranging, please contact the ARTIST S Management or the ARTIST S Agent. Gille Amaral Dog & Pony Industries 25 Storey Ave., Suite #338 Newburyport, MA T:+1(603) / M: +1(603) gille@dogandponyindustries.com A GENERAL PROVISIONS: 1 MODIFICATIONS: It is understood that this agreement and attached rider may not be modified except in writing, signed by both ARTIST management or agent and PURCHASER 2 LICENSES/PERMITS: PURCHASER shall obtain at no cost to the ARTIST, all licenses, work visas, permits or other approvals required from any union, public authority, performing rights society or other entity having jurisdiction with respect to this engagement and will comply completely and satisfactory fulfill all terms and conditions set forth therein. 3 OPENING ACTS: ARTIST reserves the right of written approval of any and all opening acts. 4 INTERVIEWS: PURCHASER shall not commit ARTIST to any personal appearances, interviews or any other type of promotional activities without ARTIST or ARTIST S management s prior consent. All interview requests should be forwarded to Gille Amaral at Dog and Pony Industries, gille@dogandponyindustries.com 5 ARTIST shall have the right of approval of all press and publicity in regard to this engagement. PURCHASER will submit for ARTIST approval any artwork, graphic designs, radio spots or TV spots prior to running any advertising. 6 BILLING: ARTIST shall receive 100% star billing on any and all publicity including without limitation: programs, flyers, signs, posters, newspaper ads, lobby boards, tickets, marquees, radio and television promotions. NO OTHER BILLING IS ACCEPTABLE!! This pertains to MARQUEES, PRINT ADS, RADIO SPOTS, and TICKETS, EVERYTHING. ANTONIO SANCHEZ and MIGRATION (100%) Featuring Seamus Blake (saxophones) 75%) John Escreet (piano) (75%) Matt Brewer (bass) (75%) 7 RECORDING: Absolutely NO portion of the performance rendered hereunder may be broadcast, photographed, recorded, filmed, taped or embodied in any way form for any purpose without prior written consent of ARTIST and ARTIST S Management. PURCHASER will make an announcement to the audience prior to each performance that there will be NO recording of the performance. PURCHASER will do its best to enforce that policy during the performance(s). ARTIST reserves and retains the exclusive right to record all or any portion of the performance both audio and visual, at the ARTIST S sole cost and expense. 8 PAYMENT: An advance deposit in the sum of fifty percent (50%) payable by Bank Wire or Certified Check shall be paid per the terms of the attached contract to the ARTIST S agent. All balances of guaranteed payments MUST be paid in the form of Cash (USD) unless prior arrangements have been made with Artist s manager. Balance must be made to the ARTIST prior to the performance. If ARTIST is being paid on a percentage basis, PURCHASER agrees to give Artist s Agent proper documentation of gross receipts if so requested. This contract has been negotiated based on specific ticket prices and venue capacities. PURCHASER will be held responsible to pay ARTIST all percentages based on the stated minimum ticket price, or actual price if higher. Any additional monies generated by misstatement of capacity or ticket pricing will be due to ARTIST on demand. 1
2 9 COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS: PURCHASER will make available complimentary tickets to ARTIST if required. ARTIST will contact the PURCHASER no later than the afternoon of performance if any complimentary tickets are to be used. 10 SECURITY: PURCHASER shall provide at no cost to the ARTIST sufficient security personnel to insure the safety of the ARTIST, persons who travel with the ARTIST, and all equipment throughout the duration of the performance(s). The stage and backstage are should be cleared of ALL persons not directly related with the ARTIST S performance during sound check and the during the ARTIST S performance subject to the ARTIST S sole discretion. B TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS The following information is a guideline for sound, lighting and staging requirements. If any variations from the specifications below occur, please contact TOUR MANAGER. 11 SOUND ENGINEER: PURCHASER shall also provide at no cost to the ARTIST a Professional Sound Engineer capable of operating and troubleshooting the house sound system and monitor system. The Engineer(s) shall be available one (1) hour before Sound Check until the end of the performance 12 MICROPHONES: See attached microphone list and stage plot which include microphone requirements. Sound company should supply all microphone stands, stage boxes and break-out cables for all microphone connections. All stage power must be supplied by the sound company and kept on the same feed as the audio to avoid any ground problems that may arise. SECTION 2 - ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS. A) The Tour requires access to a 150 amp, three phase 220/110V isolated ground electrical disconnect or main panel for tour and or local rental sound and light systems. B) These power sources should be within 100 feet (100 ) of stage. C) The sponsor must provide a certified electrician to make the necessary connections to the power sources. Power sources are to be connected and checked prior to Artists arrival at the venue. D) If the power source is not available at the venue, or it is not close enough to the stage, the sponsor is responsible for providing either of the following: Enough additional five conduction 2/0 cable to reach the source, or a sixty kilowatt generator (with a six [6 ] foot ground rod driven in natural earth) with a quiet pack feature to power the sound and lighting systems. SECTION 3 STAGE. A) The stage must be a minimum of thirty-two (32 ) feet wide, twenty (20 ) feet deep, and three (3 ) feet high; however, a stage forty (40 ) feet wide, thirty (30 ) feet deep, and four (4 ) feet high is preferred. The ceiling over the stage must be a minimum of twenty-two (22 ) feet high at its lowest point; however, a ceiling clearance of twenty-five (25 ) feet or higher is preferred. Two (2) sets of step units should be placed upstage left and right with appropriate lighting. B) A backdrop of black material will be provided. This should cover the full width of the stage and lighting truss trim or ceiling height. SECTION 5 SOUND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. Sponsor shall provide, at their sole expense, a first class sound system with. In most cases a house / church installed system will not be adequate. IMPORTANT NOTE: Sound system must be free of hums, buzzes and in proper working order. Monitor Console Console must consist of 32 channels and must be capable of 8 separate stereo mixes. Acceptable consoles in order of preference are: Yamaha LS9, Midas H3000, Soundcraft Series 5, Crest LM, set up in stereo. Support acts must be on an independent monitor console. Consoles are not shared. Monitors Independent Monitors and Monitor Mixes are required for each musician For Antonio 2- Monitor wedges 1- matching Sub-woofer 2
3 Stage Lights 48k 6 Color lighting system should be provided. 6-8 Moving light spot fixtures are also requested when possible. SPOTS We will need 2 Powerful and clean spot lights (Lycian 1275 or equivalent NO COMETS). Please try to get this at least at a 25 degree angle above stage level. We will require a COM system between spot, LD, and house lights. SECTION 9 MICROPHONES/STANDS. Per ARTIST in Put List SECTION 10 STAGE/BAND POWER. Per ARTIST Stage Plot SECTION 6 - HOUSE MIX & LIGHTING POSITION. A) The mix position should be a minimum of 85 and no greater than 125 from the front down stage center edge. This must not be under a balcony. B) The mix position should be a minimum 10' deep and 15' wide. NOTE: IF SIGHT LINES ARE A CONCERN, WE SUGGEST YOU SELL AFFECTED SEATS AS LIMITED VIEW SEATS. PLEASE DO NOT ASK SOUND COMPANY OR TOUR TO MOVE ANY EQUIPMENT. (THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE ). SECTION 7 - HOUSE P.A. SPEAKERS. A) House P.A. speakers should be a minimum, three-way box with separate 18-inch subwoofers (one sub box for every midhigh box provided) B) The speakers should be arrayed in such a manner so they will fully cover all sold seats in the venue. They should produce even coverage with no nulls at any position in the room. C) There should also be more than enough P.A. to support (110 db) C weighted SPL level, at FOH Mix Position. D) Any sound system speaker field in addition to left and right P.A. clusters must be controlled by separate individual feed or send from house mix console. These systems should be time aligned properly. (i.e. center fills, subs or delay stacks) House Console SPONSOR shall provide, for the exclusive use of Artist, one (1) 32 channel console with no less than eight (8) subgroups, eight (8) VCA s and eight (8) Aux outputs. Acceptable consoles: Yamaha LS9, Digidesign Venue, Midas Heritage, XL-3, XL-4, or above. Outboard Gear Two (2) 1/3 octave equalizers. (KT, BSS, Ashley) per zone Eight (8) Compressors/Limiters. (BSS, dbx, Aphex, Drawmer) Four (4) Noise Gates. (Drawmer or comparable) Three (3) Vocal Reverb. (TC, Yamaha) One(1) Digital Delay with tap tempo button or foot pedals. (TC D-TWO) One Stereo CD player One Stereo CD Burner Note: All outboard gear should be patched, console zeroed with well lit and labeled racks ready for artists engineer arrival. House Cabinets Enough cabinets should be provided to produce 110db at the house mix position and cover the entire seating area. Preferred speaker types are V-DOSC, EAW or D&B, Meyer Milo, JBL Cabinets should be flown whenever possible. C: BACKLINE PURCHASER shall provide at no cost to the ARTIST the following backline equipment: 12 Drums: MUST be Yamaha Maple Absolutes or Maple Customs preferably. 16x20 Bass Drum (NO HOLE ON FRONT HEAD and nothing inside!!!!!) 8x12 Tom Tom 14x14 Floor Tom (with legs) 16x16 Floor Tom (with legs) 5 1/2x14 wood or brass Snare Drum Brass piccolo snare drum 3
4 7 cymbal stands 1 hi hat stand (ABSOLUTELY NO two legged stands!! preferably a single braced 3 legged one) 2 bass drum pedals 1 Double bass drum pedal 1 drum stool All Ziljdian Two 22 Constantinople medium thin high or low ride cymbals or two 22 Kerope ride cymbals or similar. Two 18 EFX K crash or Constantinople crash or similar Two 16 EFX K crash or Constantinople crash or similar 14 Constantinople Hi hats All single braced hardware preferably YAMAHA All heads Remo Coated Ambassadors 1 FAN decent size ARTIST ENDORSEMENTS: Please note that Antonio Sanchez has endorsements with the following Yamaha, Zildjian, Remo, Latin Percussion, Cympad Felts. 13 Bass- One (1) fully carved (no plywood!) acoustic bass with an adjustable bridge and pickup. Pickup must either be a Fishman "Full Circle" or David Gage "Realist". Gut strings or Thomastik Spirocore strings (or a combination of the two) are preferred. Instrument must be of very good quality and preferably from a musician who keeps it in good condition, and not from a rental company. Amp- 4x10 or 2x10 cabinet with amplifier (no combo amps) In order of preference- Anything vintage with tubes or- 1st- Aguilar, 2nd- Ampeg, 3rd- Gallien Kruger One (1) guitar stand and One (1) bass stand 14 Piano: Concert Grand Piano (Steinway preferred/yamaha/bosendorfer etc.) Must be well maintained and in good condition, and MUST be tuned to A440 pitch prior to each performance. Must come with adjustable piano bench. Under no circumstances will any upright piano be acceptable. Fender Rhodes- suitcase Mark I or II preferred- Should be a suitcase model or if not please provide a Twin Fender amp. The suitcase speaker or the amplifier (depending on which option is provided) should then be mic'd up like any other instrument. Any Rhodes with a direct input to the stage monitors, the board or the house will not be acceptable. 2 adjustable piano benches 15 SAX: 2 QSC k series POWERED Monitors to be used as Stereo ewi computer speakers One (1) EV re20 mic. One additional monitor of any kind for hearing other members of the band. (1) table for laptop 2 music stands USA voltage 120v 2 di boxes. 16 MUSIC STANDS: PURCHASER shall provide at no cost to the ARTIST Seven (7) music stands with lights and all necessary AC cables. 17 ON STAGE: Towels for each member of the group Bottles of drinking water for each member of the group (no gas) 4

TRANSPORTATION & HOTEL REQUIREMENTS 18 GROUND TRANSPORTATION: PURCHASER shall provide at no cost to the ARTIST all ground transportation upon the arrival in the city of the performance at the airport, train station or bus station throughout the duration of the ARTIST S stay for the performance. 19 TRANSPORTATION: Local Ground transportation is defined as: From the airport to the hotel From the hotel to the venue in time for sound check From the venue to the hotel after sound check From the hotel to the venue for the performance From the venue to the hotel after the performance From the hotel to the airport upon departure 20 HOTELS A.) Hotels provided by THE PURCHASER : Hotel must be pre-booked and full information must be provided to THE ARTIST AGENT at the time of contract signing, to include: Name of Hotel: Hotel address Telephone: Fax: Confirmation Number (s): Distance to venue: Distance to hotel: All provided hotels must be at least at the four- (4) star level. Accommodations to include four (4) single NON- SMOKING rooms - each room with private bath, toilet and telephone. Hotels must have a restaurant. E: HOSPITALITY 21 THE PURCHASER agrees to provide one hot meal per person after soundcheck or following the concert, whichever time is more appropriate to standard mealtimes. THE PURCHASER agrees to provide QUALITY food that may include chicken, fish, pasta, salad and vegetables, red wine, dessert with coffee and tea. THE PURCHASER will provide meal at the venue or reserve two tables at a nearby quality restaurant. FAST FOOD and CHAIN RESTAURANTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE! A meal buyout of fifty dollars ($50.00) per person will be acceptable in cases where catering of a hot meal is not possible. F: DRESSING ROOM: 22. Platter of assorted sandwiches with whole grain breads, chicken, vegetarian, fruits, snacks, hummus, crackers, chocolate bars, brownies etc, coffee, tea, bottle of red wine (pinot noir), bottle of white wine (pinot grigio) spring water, napkins. G: Miscellaneous 23 FORCE MAJEURE: In the event of any illness or accident affecting the ARTIST, or if a performance or supporting performance is rendered impossible or unfeasible by any force majeure event or any accident, fire, riot, war, civil disturbance, strike, lockout or other labor dispute, act of God, order or rule, regulation or act of any government authority, absence of power or other essential services, failure of technical facilities, failure or delay of transportation facilities, the parties hereto specifically agree that all of ARTIST S or PURHCASER S obligation as to the performance(s) affected shall be deemed waived and neither party hereto shall have any claim for damages with respect to the affected performance(s). Provided that the ARTIST is ready willing and able to perform pursuant to the terms hereof, payment of any guaranteed compensation hereunder shall be made notwithstanding that inclement weather may render a performance impossible or unfeasible, unless the contract states RAIN OR SHINE. ARTIST or ARTIST S representative shall have the sole right to determine, in good faith whether any such conditions shall render the performance(s) impossible, hazardous, or unsafe. 5
6 24 DEFAULT: If the PURCHASER fails or refuses to comply with any of the material provisions contained in the Agreement and this Rider including but not limited to failing to or refusing to provide any of the items or take an action required of the PURCHASER hereunder; to proceed with the presentation of the engagement which is subject of the Agreement; to make any of the payments as and when required hereunder; or if any performance is rendered impossible or unfeasible by any cause within the PURCHASER S control, then in such events ARTIST shall have no further obligation to perform the Agreement; ARTIST shall retain all amounts theretofore paid to it by the PURCHASER; PURCHASER shall remain liable for any additional compensation herein provided, and ARTIST shall also be entitled to exercise all remedies then available to it.
